This fuel pump diaphragm, also called a membrane or a gasket, is what helps pump fuel from the tank to the engine of your gas-powered lawn equipment. It is normally found attached to the carburetor assembly itself. You can tell that the diaphragm is broken when your engine is not starting properly, lacks power, or frequently stalls. You may also notice that your machine is leaking fuel or smells strongly of gasoline. A broken diaphragm could lead to engine performance problems, and it may eventually stop working altogether.
