Our lint trap is in located when you open the door and get knee level but not on door

Dryer will not turn on when button is pushed

Hi Judith, Thank you for your inquiry. If you have to hold down the push-to-start switch to get the dryer to work, then you will have to replace the switch as it sounds like it is not working correctly. I hope this helps. If the Switch is not the issue, the motor may need to be replaced. The motor has a switch that is activated when the start switch is pushed to kick the motor on. Thank you and have a great day!
How can you clean out lint and other things that have amassed in the area under the lint filter

the bracket around the net was cracked
removed old lint trap cleaned excess lint that fell inside from the broken lint trap made it easier for new lint trap to slide in.

This part was a lint filter and did not require any kind of repair, just insertion. The part was not designed well to begin with, as it has tight corners, making it very difficult to clean easily, and the screen part pulled away from the plastic frame in numerous places. I had only purchased the dryer 2 years ago, and I and see I will be having to replace the fifty-dollar part numerous times.
My previous dryer lasted more than 10 years (maybe 15) and did not require any parts replacement until it just died. I guess it's true, they just don't make them like they used to, however, it's more than that. I purchased the dryer on sale at Lowe's and have found that appliances "on sale" (no matter the brand) are generally lacking, which is why they are on sale. It's called "Planned Obsolescence." Thank-you for allowing me to vent.
