The dryer will not shut off in either sensor or timed setting. Also we cannot change the temp setting, always hot, basically it just keeps running on high temp.
For model number MEDX655DW1
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer shuts off too soon, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check heating element, the thermal cut-off kit, the timer, the high limit thermostat, the door switch and the drive motor with pulley. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
Hello Mary, Thank you for the question. If the Element, Thermal Cut Off Kit parts and the
Internal-Bias Thermostat were all tested and are good, you may need to replace the Timer. We hope this helps!
I replace the high limit switch termal fuse heating element has continuity But for some reason it starts to heat for a little bit then it keeps blowing the high thermal switch and the thermal fuse
For model number MEDC465HMO
Hi Steven, thank you for getting in touch. We suggest cleaning the exhaust vent and ensuring it is not blocked. If this does not help, the issue could be with the heating element, part number PS334313. If you require assistance placing an order, please contact customer service. We hope that helps!

Timer failed.
Removed 5 screws holding the back plate in place and removed the 5 different connections to the timer. I had a fair amount of difficulty "releasing" the old timer from its two clips that held the timer in place. I really needed a special pair of pliers that I could grip the pressure clips. Sad to say that in the process of releasing the bottom clip I broke of the clip. It turned out that I didn't need the lower clip to securely hold the new timer in place. There was substantial pressure against the timer given by the cable connections that the timer held in place. Replaced the back plate.

Timer was not working,
Repair was fairly simple, unplug power from dryer, take back top panel off, remove timer knob, remover timer switch, un-plug one lead at a time, and place on new timer, reconnect timer, put back on back panel, reconnect power to dryer, and that it.

The TIMER on the dryer quit functioning. It heated, but would not move or turn off.
Removing the old timer was the hard part. When pulling off one of the wires it broke off from the female connector inside the plastic piece. I had to go the store to find another very small female connector that would work inside the plastic. After stripping the very small stranded wire, crimping it to the new connector I finally could insert it inside the replacement timer. Upon completion, nothing had changed. Still have heat but the timer does not move. An electrician friend says the dryer probably has a 110 wire coming off the 220 to supply the power to the timer. I haven't taken it apart yet to try and find the problem.

Unable reach the bottom clip of the timer. You need to remove the console from the dryer base. dryer bace.
Unplug dryer !! Remove 5 screws on the back of the console. Remove lint screen & 2 screws Remove timer dial .Place wood wedge under the top of the dryer. Force wedges into the space between the top & bottom of dryer. Lift top .There are two clips that hold the console to the top. This gives you access to the top & bottom clips that hole t he timer to the console. Remove timer &replace.

Timer replacement was pretty straightforward.
The part was an original equipment replacement, so switching connections was a breeze. The only problem is the way it mounts inside the control panel. Instead of screws for attachment, there are two posts and two push-on spring clips. The top clip was easy, bottom clip not do much. Poor manufacturer’s design. I guess if I worked on dryers everyday, I would know the shortcut.

Great Part - worked as expected.
The part came fast and was packaged securely. It took me about an hour to install from start to finish. Had a hard time removing the old timer but the new one went right in. Dryer is working like it did when it was new.
