Maytag electric dryer. Does not start up and the light inside does not come on.I have flipped the main fuse to see if that did anything and no. could it be the door switch?

Thank you for your question. If the dryer is not starting, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check the drive motor, the thermal cutoff, the high limit thermostat, the blower wheel and the internal bias thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Our dryer door will not latch to stay shut but the dryer still works if we prop something up against the door to keep it shut. Is this the part we need to repair it? Thanks.
