Hello,
Our Whirlpool fridge is acting up. Should I order the control board? Freezer works fine. The fridge is either really cold and freezing some things, or a week later, its not cooling enough. Thanks.
For model number WRF736sdam11
Hi Charles, thank you for reaching out. We would suggest checking the damper control assembly, part number PS11755410. It comes with a sensor attached to it and controls the flow of cold air from the freezer compartment to the fresh food compartment. A faulty damper assembly may cause the refrigerator temperature to fluctuate. We hope this information helps!
My french door refrigerator is not defrosting causing ice build up under the back panel of freezer. I replaced the defrost heater a couple months ago and the ice build up is back. Is there a way to test the control panel to see if it is defective ?
For model number WRF736SDAM13
Hello Gilbert, thank you for contacting us. You can check the electronic control board with a multimeter by applying voltage and continuity tests. We would also recommend testing the defrost heater, part number PS11738607, for continuity using a multimeter. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of assistance!
Hi the red door light is on and no ice, water, and light on the inside is not working. We removed the left door switch and it tested fine and seems to be working. Do we need to replace the control board?
For model number Wrf736sdaw12
Hi Joelle,
Thank you for your question. If the light is not working correctly where the dispenser controls are, you may just have to replace the light assembly. The part number listed under your model number for the light assembly is PS5573812. I would advise first to use a multimeter to check the light assembly, the electronic control board and the wiring between the parts to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
