Our stove oven does not heat up fast with convection or rapid heat in play, it does take a little longer to heat up with just turning the oven on regularly but will eventually heat up. It can take up to 2 1/2 hrs. To heat up with convection but will heat up very slowly. Any help?

Hello Jim, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Oven Sensor, PartSelect Number: PS11749737. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Heating element in oven will not turn off after it is heated. After the oven is turned off the oven will stay on, around 140° until power is disconnected. I tested ohms of the probe, they were around 1080. The heating element send to be in working order. Is this the next plausible solution?

Is the thermostat on this board?
For model number Gfe461lvs0
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your question. The electronic control board works with the oven sensor to regulate the heat in the oven. We hope this helps!
Oven, when set to bake and reaches the set temperature, after about 4 minutes, switches to broil on its own. And the control lock is switched on with default message. Also, oven is slower to reach set temperature. Would a bad control board cause these problems?
For model number GFE461LVS0
Hi David, thank you for contacting us. We have researched and found that the issue could be most probably with the control board. We would suggest replacing the control board, part number PS11752495, to solve the problem. It monitors the oven temperature and controls the oven heating functions in the range. Glad to be of help!
