Block had melted.R
Removed old terminal block & replaced with new one. Very simple. Did NOT have to replace cover as stated you should. Shipping could have been a little faster. Will definetly try this site again.

Electric contact connection melted, shorting out the range.
After unplugging electric service, loosened 3 Philips-head screws holding 3 wires from range and loosened 3 nuts holding wires from electric cord. Also removed 1 Philips-head screw holding grounding tab. Removed 2 Philips-head screws and removed the old block. Mounted new block with those screws and replaced and tightened all 6 wires.

someone did not install cord properly! they left a strong strain on one of the 3 wires, with a loose nut connection that caused it to heat and melt the plastic that poped out toward the rear metal cover and short circuited.
I cut the ends of the cord and went with direct wire (no round eye clip) to the back side of the terminal block and tightened firmly. It took about 20 Minutes.

Burned Out Termincal Block
I discoverd my switch box locked with my stove electrical port and stove stopped functioning. Pulled my stove back and saw that the "terminal block" was melted on one side; hence, switch box locked in place to avoid a fire, thank goodness. Looked up part on internet, unplugged stove, took off terminal box, ordered part and replaced. BTW - PART SELECT is awesome; I received my part the very next day!!! :-) Very happy with their service.

stove/oven started popping like the 4th of July while on
Terminal block burned up along with 220 cord & front burner. With breaker off, disconnected the block & cord....and assembled new parts. Next, took 2 screws out of stove top and lifed stovetop up. Disconnected bracket holding burner-took off old burner & reattached new burner. Reattached bracket and put back screws..turn on breaker and everything is like new. Do not recommend service companies to do these repairs. Excellent service with this company on receiving parts within 24 hours. Original manufacturers mark up their prices 30-40% more...Part Select is the way to go. Thank you for your execellent service.

bought floor model with loose cord that melted block terminal
Safety first always shut breaker off at box.
I unplugged stove, disconnected wires keeping in mind the color placement. Unscrewed one ground screw and removed terminal block. Attached new block with ground screw, replaced wires in correct order, re-attached plug. Then reattached safety cover. Pretty simple for d.i.y.

The control panel is only lighting when the element knob is turned. The elements and the oven are not heating. I changed the cable and control panel is working now but nothing else. Can you help?
For model number GR478LXPS0

Hello Olga, Thanks for your question. Be sure the oven is unplugged prior to any repairs or tests. We would recommend testing the oven sensor, part number PS11749737, with a multimeter to see if it shows continuity. If it shows no continuity, replace it. I hope this helps.

Oven continues to stop heating after reaching preheat temperature after replacing the thermostat, heat sensor, element and control panel. Any other suggestions? Hard to quit now!
For model number KESK901SSS05
PartSelect logo
Hello Richard, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, there may be an issue with your oven's ventilation. Poor ventilation can cause the heat to build up to the point that the oven overheats and causes the thermostat to trip, again cutting out your oven in the process. Clear all the ventilation. If this does not solve the issue, we recommend you replace the cooling fan, part number PS11722995, to fix the issue. We hope this information helps!

Why does the oven only work with the door open? Once I close the door the oven and clock shuts off
For model number Rf364pxpb1
PartSelect logo
Hi Jacqueline, Thank you for the question. It sounds like there is a short in the wiring. I suggest testing the electrical outlet where the wiring comes into the appliance from the wall. Turn on the appliance, and test with the door closed across each wire to the ground wire of the house wiring and make sure there is 120 volts on both hot wires. If there is not, the problem is in the house wiring. If there is, then you will need to test and see where you are loosing the neutral in the unit. This can be a very hard thing to find and repair. You will need to test the wiring at the control board and sensor in the oven and where the door light switch plugs into ect. You will be able to test these with a Multi Meter. Hope this helps!

My oven will not heat above 275. It stopped working all together so i ordered a temperature sensor and both elements installing them one at a time. Now it will heat to 275 and stops. The broiler element will not heat up at all. I need help finding out what other part that may fix this problem. Please advise, thank you!
For model number WFE364LVQ0
PartSelect logo
Hello Schelley, thank you for your question. If the elements and sensor were replaced the only other part that could be affecting the heating of the oven is the electronic control board. I hope this helps!

Control panel went out & stove will not work. Burners on top work fine. What could be done to fix this? Could it be fuse or the control panel? Stove was only used a few times.
