Freezer works. Fresh food are is warm. Appliance repair man came out and said it was the fan in the freezer not working to blow air up to refrigerator. He hasn't called back for a week now, so I am thinking to replace the fan myself. I need to know for sure which part to order. Also, reading questions below, will I need to order blades separately or use the blades on the motor in the frig now. Thank you for your assistance!
For model number WRX986SIHZ00
Hello Maja, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching the model number that you have provided, this model actually has an evaporator fan in both the refrigerator and freezer. The refrigerator fan (which cools the refrigerator evaporator) is PS11731053 and there is a second fan motor as well, part# PS12070640. Both of these contain the blades. There is also a damper control assembly, which controls the air flow in the refrigerator. You can test these parts with a multimeter to see which one is faulty. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.
