Lint is getting past this filter and stopping up my vent. This is causing an over heating situation and y clothes remaining damp. The he filter does not appear damages. Should this fit tight in the slide in holder? Thank you

Hello Sid, thank you for your question. Yes, the filter should fit tight in the holder. If the lint is getting past the filter, I would recommend opening up the unit and checking the Complete Duct Trap Assembly Part Number: PS1482128 to see if there are any broken pieces there. This part includes the filter housing that has the grid part in it. You should also check the Duct Felt Seal
PartSelect Number: PS9861764 to make sure its in place and not letting lint get around it. I hope this helps!
