My dryer fires the gas for one cycle the just spins for the balance of the load, is this a sensor problem or some other problem

Hello Jeff, thank you for contacting us. Most of the time the following parts cause this kind of problem:
1. The heat detector, part number PS268031, monitors whether the igniter is hot enough to ignite the gas to light the burner.
2. The gas valve coils (primary and secondary), part number PS268153, and part number PS268154. The coils open the gas valves while the dryer is running.

My dryer runs fine 75% of the time but it sometimes shuts off In mid cycle. The cloths inside are warm but not dry. The dryer will not start again for a little while and then seems to run normal. I have made sure the exhaust are clear. I’m assuming it a temp switch of some sort. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It was pretty easy. After already taking apart the dryer to install a new belt I knew exactly my plan of action. I removed the two screws that hold the top panel of the dryer to the front panel. I then removed the top panel and removed the screws that hold the front to each side panel. I than pulled the front away from the cabinet and

*** make sure to order all of the glides, there should be a total of 4 for the top assembly.
Removed the front Dryer panel. Left drum in place and lifted it up slightly to get access to motor drive. Slipped belt in place and put panel back on. This was a first attempt ever at fixing an appliance and it was no big deal.
