Dryer would run, but no heat.
This is more a word of caution than instructions. The inlet control thermostat should be around 100 k ohms at room temp not 10 k ohms as I was quoted. I ordered one and after receiving it found out the "faulty" one and the new one were only 2 ohms difference.

... Read moreom temp. The faulty one was reading about 145 k ohms. It does heat now, and hopefully after replacing the elements it will be right again.
The drum bearing slides made a huge improvement!!
For the first time trying to repair an appliance I'd say the whole thing went fairly well, but with my mechanical and electronics backgrounds I did have an advantage. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the thing apart to get inside in the first place.

Hello, this dryer will not power on at the control board .

Hello Robert, thank you for your question. The board behind the control panel is discontinued. However, the Main Power Board located in the lower half of the unit is part PS3501392. Good luck with your repair.
The dryer stopped heating gave error codes
10 - 6- 2 -9 when i disassembled I was leaning towards a bad thermistor but when I got into it I noticed the purple wire to the element was burned and separated/disconnected from the terminal wife says she’s been running it really hot , so question is can cut the wire back a bit past the burned and re attach and replace the bad thermistor and that should fix it ?

Hi Tony, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description, the issue is with the high-limit thermostat, part number PS12073907. It shuts off the heating element or burner when the dryer overheats. We would recommend reconnecting the wire connection to the heating element and replace the high-limit thermostat to fix the issue.
