VLSR1090G3WW Hotpoint Washer - Instructions

Steps:
1.- Open the front panel by pressing down (with a spatula) the 2 metal locks located between the front and top panels.
2.- Remove the drain hose located int the lower right and at the bottom using a set of pliers and a nutdriver.
3.-Install the new drain hose.
4.-Reinstall the front panel

The installation itself took me less tha 15 minutes.
Since I had opened the the front panel, I took rthe oportunity to air clean and dust off the equipment.

turned washer on it side took bottom off removed hose and replaced it with the new one. so very happy i tried it , works great like before. thanks for the easy to find diagram of parts.

After noticing the leak, I moved the washer out to try to find the source. In the process, the Drain Hose Extension broke in two. As an emergency repair, I put the two halves together with duct tape. After running the washer again to try and find the leak, I discovered that it must have been the Drain Hose because now there was no leak. I then ordered a new one from PartSelect and replaced it with the repaired item.

It was really easy to replace i removed the old one & sliped on the new one.

first I filled the washer max load to determine the problem, once I saw where the water was dripping I decided to remove the hose. I removed bottom of the hose, and the water from the tank started pouring out, I tryed to put the hose back on but started to get a pretty good electric shock, I then unpluged the washer and ran to garage for the floor squeegy. I then pushed the water out the side door. After cleaning and drying all rooms I sat down at the computer and ordered part. When the part arrived I removed clamp with pliers put both clamps on the new hose and installed. A very simple project and I ended up with a clean laundry room. Thanks "Brainy"

Remove back of washer, remove switch, replace with new pressure switch attach elements and put back of washer back on --fixed washer

First I uplugged the machine and removed the front cover of the machine by prying outward at the top corners with a screwdriver. Then I removed the two bolts from the mounting bracket and unplugged the electrical wires. Then using a pliers I squeazed the hosed clamps and slid them back on the hoses and pulled the hoses off the pump.

To install the new pump, simply reverse the order and check for leaks. The whole process took about 20 minutes.

I pulled the front off of the washing machine using a table knife to pop the clips. The drain hose had a hole big enough to put your finger in so we knew that was the problem. One of the clamps holding it on took a screwdriver to loosen the clamp, the other I used a pair of adjustable pliers to squeeze the ends together to loosen it. I pulled off the old part, ordered it, got it the next day and replaced it the same way I took it off. It was simple and the part was less than $10.

Replace with new hose.

Trouble shooting on internet only mentioned worn drive belt as a cause for no spin. No mention of the possibility of a transmission problem burning out the centrifugal clutch. So the drive belt was ordered and when I checked tracking when it was late, I was informed that it was already delivered and signed for by some stranger, jmorris. Later that night I found the package at my door to late to do the repair that night. The next evening the repair was attempted and it was not difficult with the youtube video for guidance. Back together but it did not spin or agitate. On the third run dthrough the procedure I noticed that the clutch was really hot and the notor was not locked. But the big pully would not complete but bart of a revolution and hard stop. The repair was a failure and after the time spent diagnosing the wrong problem with inadiquate trouble shooting on the internet chart and the time ordering and waiting for the second chance delivery. The failed repair delayed to the point that the customer did not have time to do their laundry berore their weekend trip. They will have to get a new machine after waisting so mych time with a less than fully informed repair attempt. The internet trouble shooting help was inadequate. The delivery of the parts was botched using FedEx instead of UPS. At the last minute after hours of involvement it came to light that the machine was history and we were suckered into buying the wrong part and running out of time for the customer to ready their clothes for their trip. I felt so bad of the machine resisting the repair process thaqt I discounted my labor time and told the customer pay me what they felt would be ritght. It was not all part selectt's fault but they had their page in the story.

The part came after 2 days..terrrific.. upon receipt, i attached the new one to the back of the washer and screwed. it all took about 5mins. My washer is back in business. I am very happy abouit it.

i took out the two screws that mount the pump to the base of the washer, then i took a pair of channel locks to disconnect the clamps on the drain lines. thats it. i put the new one in and it works great!

I took the old hose off and replaced it with a new one!!
It was an easy fix
