VBSR3100DAWW Hotpoint Washer - Instructions

first I'm 77 years old/and prod of myself. I follow google instruction.and did it. washer work like a charm. and it oondly cost me $12.92 with shiping. thanks.

removed agitator unscrewed agitator coupling replaced with new one replaced agitator

I removed the control panel and front panel of the machine exposing the water level pressure switch and hose. There was a clog in the hose that once cleaned out (with a shish kabab skewer)the problem was solved I didn't even need the switch which I returned and got a full refund no problem.

Pulled off agitator with little effort. One 7/16 bolt to remove and the coupler came right off. Pushed on new coupler, replaced with new provided bolt, pushed agitator back on and was back in business!! Very simple inexpensive repair. Thanks Partsselect for your quick parts turnaround!

Took off old agitator, removed coupling that was bad and put new one on.

My 45 year old son did it in the shop, and it only took a short time before we were washing clothers again, and no water on the floor. The part came through the day after I ordered them. Thank you very much

I used the video instructions sent to my email and everything worked perfectly as instructed.

Pull the Agitator out by hand no tools where needed. Took Fabric Softer dispenser off put it on new Agitator. Pushed the new Agitator on. Repair done. Sure am happy I did it myself. Service charge from repair company would have been a lot more then $50.00.

I replaced the water level pressure switch but that did not fix the problem. I tried to replace the pressure tube with some rubber tubing from the hardware store but that did not fix the problem. I replaced the tubing with the correct pressure tubing for PartSelect and now it seems to be working fine. I think the old tubing had a small leak in it I could not detect and the hardware tubing was not exactly the same as the manufacturer part. Anyway it was still a lot cheaper than a new washer. after seeing new knob and clip, realized to pull old clip off and small piece still on stem. put clip half on new knob, put it on stem. very little room behind it. pushed clip down rest of way with very thin screwdriver. snapped in place. all done.

Removed agitator by pulling up, wiggle to and fro, watch out for unexpected release. Agitator coupler was worn, stripped splines. 7\16 socket, long extension to remove bolt in coupler. Install new coupler, new bolt, then line up agitator to splines on agitator coupler and push to snap in place.

Remove agitator remove retainer screw and using Prybar lift off the old coupler ..... After removal use heat gun and wire brush to remove plastic residue from the splines of the motor shaft ... While the shaft is still warm line up the splines from the new coupler and using the mallet force the coupler on the shaft ... Install the retainer screw that comes with the coupler and snap on the agitator ... Done

Opened the package - put it on just like the old one. Didn't take 5 minutes. Good as new.

I pulled up on the fin part of the agitator exposing the gear coupling. I unbolted the nut on top with a 12 mm socket. Once the nut and washer were removed I pulled up on the gear coupling and slid it right off. Reversed procedures to install the new one.
