TEF326FSB Tappan Range - Instructions

Statistics said it was the element. I replaced that this did not correct problem. Went with the second statistic and it was correct. I showed the video to my tenant and he replaced it and called me in a few minutes saying it worked fine. Look at the video then it will be easy for you. The only thing in the video that was not clear is that you have to peel the sticker off of the front of the old clock and attach it to the new one. Everything else is exactly like it says.

Removed bottom drawer. Pulled Range out away from the wall. Unplugged Range. Removed 6 screws from top back cover. Removed top back cover to reveal the Infinite Switches behind the knobs. Pulled the knobs off of the Switches I wanted to change. Removed the 2 Phillips Head screws holding each switch. Pulled the wires off of the old Infinite Switch and put them on the new Infinite Switch. I was careful to put each wire on the correct terminal from old to new switch. I then reassembled the Range in reverse order. I changed both 8" Burner Infinite Switches. I was only having trouble with 1 switch. But, upon inspection. Both Switches had burn marks on the top left of the switch.

My husband and I pulled the stove away from the wall and unplugged it. We felt it was safer to unplug the stove rather than turn off the breaker. My husband disconnected the baking element and checked the lead wires coming into the oven to see if they were damaged but they were not. He fitted the new baking element to the lead wires and tightened the screws on each side. It was really easy to repair and the video we watched on the internet really helped. As a Mom who bakes a lot, and I wanted to make sure that the oven temp was correct so I tested the temp three different times with my oven thermometer. Each time the oven temp was accurate. Parts Select Service Department was most helpful and I received the part within two days. I highly recommend them and I would use them again.

Husband watched Online Repair Video. Took him maybe 5 minutes to Repair.Thank yall very much.

First observed how the element attached to the oven. Then unplugged the range. Unscrewed it at both ends using my nutdriver. At the connection clips, simply pulled the element end away from the electrical wire it attaches to. Used a pair of pliers to pry loose the clips. Once separated, slightly bent the wire so it would not slip back into the hole that goes into the back of the range. Did this on both sides. Reversed the process to attach the replacement. That process is insert the wires into the connection clips, push the wires back into the range, reattach the element to the oven wall with the original screws, plug in the range. after reading the very first reader report, I was happily amazed how easy the repair was. it took longer to unwrap the part than it did to undo two small nuts, unclip the wire, clip on the replacement burner, and redo both nuts. thanks again for the help. saved lots of time and money.

I had to remove the back of the range in order to cut away the sheet metal that was contacted by the bent terminals that had to be done to shorten them to clear the back sheet metal panel.

unplugged the elements, removed drip pans, replaced with new drip pans. plugged back in elements. took no skills or effort. the parts were ordered on-line one afternoon and were on my doorstep the next morning. I had been unable to find drip pans that fit my stove and was thrilled that they fit and came so quickly and were reasonably priced.

Piece of cake! Unscrewed the old, pulled it out, & put in the new element. Turned the oven on & presto! Oven can now bake!

Easy as one two three. Snap electrical wires to new element push thru back wall of oven and turn screws tight. This company was so amazing and my order arrived in a few days. I found you on the internet. Bless you all .

I went to video and followed instructions. I removed the holding brace securing the element in and pulled out old heating wire and installed new one that came a day after I ordered it. It was so easy and saved me over $100

removed six screws on back panel and two holding switch on front panel. pulled wire from switch and placed it on new switch,did same with next four wires. put back panel on .DONE works fine

First off the shipping was lightning speed and the repair was super easy anyone can do it.

All I did unscrew bolts pull out element wires detach them attach new element to the wires push them back inside the openings reattach bolts all done easypeasy and I am a 63 yr old woman

This was the easiest do it yourself repair job to be had so simple just push the new clip in the hole and you are done so easy. Audrey
