Replace medium burner for gas cooktop
Very easy to remove grates, burner cover and remove old burner head. Very simple process, but surprised that there was no efficient way to clean carbon deposits from my old burner. Burner video instructions on line insured I installed the new burner head correctly (actually, pretty hard to get wrong), and burner worked correctly immediately. Will likely replace other burners in time as the new one is so "silvery" colored compared to my other burners.

Oven liner melted....needed to replace bottom
Removed the old oven bottom by removing two nuts. Be careful...don't drop the nuts! Removed the heat shield that was attached with four nuts to the old bottom and transferred it to the new oven bottom. Then placed the new bottom in the oven and secured it with the two original nuts. Easy...but don't forget about transferring the heat shield and don't lose the nuts.

failed ignitor
First, I need to say what a phenomenal shipping response from parts select. You could be forgiven for thinking I asked them to overnight the part - Removed the panels needed to give me access and swapped out the part. Most difficult was attaching the new wire. Only about 2" of the old wire protruded and it was quite tricky to get a wire nut back on.

Gas oven failed to heat.
I opened the oven to observe the ignition process. When I put it on "broil" I saw this silver tube begin to glow red and then the gas turned on and the broiler ignited. When I tried it on "bake", nothing happened. So I assumed the igniter on the bottom element was defective. As usual, I came to PartSelect and searched for the part which I immediately found. Then I found comments other users had left which indicated the igniter was what caused the same problem on their ranges and that it was easy to replace. The part came in 3 days with standard shipping and I installed it in about 20 minutes. Now the range works like new for about $70 instead of the $200 a repair person would have charged.

turn on the oven and after a minute or so there would be a mini explosion and the oven would heat normally
went to parts select and entered my oven model number and read the typical problems and remedies.....selected the one that fit my problem and order the igniter and it arrived in less than 2 days. took about 20 minutes to install using the instructions and this cured the problem. saved a $100 service call charge.

Oven would not work - igniter would not heat up
I removed the racks, door and bottom of the oven (2 screws). The wires went lower so I pulled out the bottom drawer. I removed two wire nuts and removed 2 screws to remove the burner tube and igniter assembly. I removed two screws to remove the igniter from the burner tube. Replaced the igniter (2 screws), replaced the burner tube/igniter assembly (2 screws). Connected the wires - which one goes to which wire doesn't matter - screwed on the wire nuts and turned it on. It worked so I put it all back together and cooked a turkey.

The new ignighter did not come with the connectors to simply replace the part. I had to cut the old ends and splice them onto the new part.
I removed the broiler and the cover in the oven itself. I then removed the burner assembly, and unplugged the two wires of the ignighter. I then removed the ignighter from the Burner tube. I then spiced the old wire ends onto the wires of the new ignighter. I then replaced the Burner assembly, hood up the wiring and reassembled the oven and broiler.

Electric range had parts missing and discolored end caps (house was a lease to own)
The range was in very good condition but the end caps had yellowed from hot temperatures. The missing broiler pan and one oven rack were an easy fix as was the end caps. I had a problem in getting the correct parts (end caps) because I did not order correctly. It was totally my fault. The customer service person was wonderful to work with. He helped me order the correct part and sent the return label and instructions that made it easy to return the un-needed parts.
