Opened dishwasher after it completed a wash cycle. Found the rinse dispenser cap had come off during the wash and melted on the heating coil at the bottom of the machine. Pulled cap off of coil, made sure coil was not disturbed. Looked in various sites for cap. Finally found this site where I didn't need to order the whole mechanism and could order just the cap. Received the cap, screwed into the dispenser, fixed. The only problem I had was that there were two possible caps so I picked the one that was the same color as the original one. Project completed. removed original rack, inserted replacement.

Removed old wheells replaced with new whells. Very easy to fix. Quickly received after order.

Nothing to replacing the wheels that flattened or totally came off with a full rack of dishes. I can't understand why I put off replacing them for SO long... found the replacement parts SO easily on PartsSelect website, ordered them late afternoon and they arrived a day later! YEAH! NO MORE CRASHING/FALLING DISH RACKS! Must say that I am totally unimpressed with the GE Profile Dishwasher but that's another story!

Replaced motor and drain pump. Ealrier cleaned all parts from residue but did not help at all. Started to use Pre-wash powder for hard water after testing our water and found it at the acceptable high end. Getting excellent results now after repair.

Bought new wheels & wheel axels. Very simple to replace (no tools required). New wheel axles much better desigh,

Came home for lunch to discover the kitchen rug soaked and the dishes I had started when I left that morning unclean. Not sure what happened, pushed start again and immediately found water flowing out from under the machine. pulled the machine out and discovered that mice had chewed through the pliable vinyl sump tank. found the part number in my owners manual and google turned it up on Part Select. this was on Saturday and I had the part Tuesday. very satisfied

Water was leaking from under refer next to installed under counter dishwasher. Once determined to be dishwasher not refer I removed dishwasher toe place was able to see dripping inlet solenoid valve. I had to disconnect 11V power, shut off inlet water, disconnect inlet water house and remove dishwasher from under counter. Once dishwasher was in center of kitchen I flipped it upside down and removed the electric solenoid inlet valve. Removing the valve took one wrench to remove inlet hose then two wrenches to remove 90 degree brass fitting and another to hold solenoid. I used a nut drive to remove two screws that released the solenoid from the dishwasher frame. I used teflon tape to reattached the 90 degree brass fitting and inlet hose.

After replacing the wheel and axle assembly once, I decided this time to instead just replace the axles with the new ones with improved design. Removed the wheels, pulled out the old axles and put the new ones in. Simple

Popped the wheels onto the wheel axle and let my 7 year old snap the completed assembly onto the lower rack. So easy, even a 7 year old could do it! Total cost of $28 to replace all 8 wheels, which had degraded over time. Lower rack now rolls in and out perfectly. The design for the replacement wheel axle is slightly different than the origional, so the suggested part is the right one, even though it looks a little different from what the dishwasher came with. I am now a happy girl and don't have to fight with my dishwasher any more!

Just pulled out the old basket and put in the new one. . Don't know the holes got into the basket. . .

Get parts axles and wheels snapped together well.

I took the old one out and replaced it with the new one. It did take both hands as I had to open the dishwasher door while the other hand held the basket. :D
