Watched a you tube video prior to installing new switch. Followed the video which gave me confidence i was up to the task. After removing the touch pad I found my design was not exactly like the you tube model but I found the defective switch, replaced it and put the microwave back together. Works great. Again watch the videos
Exterior light bulb (PS2376034) broken off in socket. No access for pliers after glass cover removed.
Unplug appliance. Remove total of 7 phillips screws from sides and front of bottom panel . Panel front drops down, remove one socket screw and socket. Now have access for lineman' s pliers to unscrew bulb base. Reinstall socket, replace bulb and 7 panel screws. Restore power.
Unplug the microwave. Then remove the six screws that hold the lower panel which has the light bulb cover and a couple of vent filters. The light bulb sockets are on a fixture that is connected by a quick connect electrical connector. Disconnect that and the whole panel is free to access the bulbs. My bulbs were very fragile and trying to twist them out resulted in the glass twisitng loose with the base still in the sockets. I needed to use a needle nose pliers to remove the bases and then I replaced the bulbs and put every thing back together
Filter needed replacement after food burn in oven. Odor awful.
After reading oven manual , used screwdriver to remove appropriate screws from behind vent. Slid vent out then cleaned vent with dish liquid. Removed old filter by simply sliding it out from easily accessed position. Inserted new filter. Replaced vent with screws. Could not have been easier, no more than fifteen minutes to complete job.Very pleased to have received replacement filter in four days.
Philips screwdriver Removed screw (1) Removed light bulb Put in new light bulb Closed door to bulb compartment Returned screw.
Pro tip! Check how many bulbs you need before ordering. Mine only needed two. I got two. I suspect I’ll buy a new microwave before new bulb burns out again. Ordering/delivery was fast. No need to have spare on hand.
turntable stopped working--- unsuccessful so far with the repair
removed screws from the bottom cover, installed the new motor and reinstalled the cover. The turntable is still not working. wonder if the power supply for that motor is not working. I noticed the internal microwave light glow and then burn out at about the same time as the turn table stopped working. Could that power supply provide power to both the motor and the internal light? can't find the schematics for the location of the power supply so i can test for output power.
The outer glass on the microwave door seems to be to heavy for the plastic frame and the frame breaks on the lower left hand corner. I am trying to correct this by supergluing the glass to the plastic frame that's being replaced in hopes that the glass will support the frame. This is why the job is a bit difficult and lengthy. 1) Remove the upper louvered grill from the top of the microwave. 2) Open the door 90 degrees and lift up, the door it will come off the hinge pins, hold on to the door or it will fall on the floor. 3) Lay the door outside face down. There are openings around the hinge plates, use a screw driver or a small lever to reach thru these holes and carefully start to pry the black plastic frame from around the inside door glass. Once the frame is up far enough to get a dull knife blade under the frame pry carefully all around and remove, this is probably the most difficult step. 4) Remove the two or three Phillip's head screws that hold the handle on and remove the handle. 5) Now the outside frame can be levered off the main metal door frame, the outer glass is held in place by the outer frame so use care not to drop it. 6) Clean everything up. This where I use the superglue to hold the glass to the replaced outer frame, I probably wont know for six to twelve months if it does any good. 7) Reverse order to assemble, 8) Luck
You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.
