Fridge door wouldn’t shut

Took old door strip (spring broke) and installed new with spring It went well and was working in less than 5 minutes

ICE MAKER WAS LEAKING WATER ON THE FLOOR / CRACKED TRAY

REMOVED 4 SCREWS HOLDING UNIT IT DISCONECTED PLUG TO CONTROLER AND REMOVED IT BY PULLING OUT ON THE BOTTOM FIRST. TO INSTALL SLIDE THE UNIT UP AND IN FROM THE BOTTOM CONNECT THE PLUG AND INSTALL THE SCREWS. THE TOP SCREW HAS A PLASTIC SPACER WASHER. UNIT WILL NOT START TO MAKE ICE UNTILL IT REACHES TEMPATURE, GIVE IT TIME. WATER DESPENSER WILL WORK. CONTROLS ON THE FRONT OF THE DOOR WILL LIGHT UP NORMALY. I REMOVED MINE WHILE WAITING FOR PART TO ARRIVE, 4 DAYS. EVERYTHING WORKED EXCEPT WATER & ICE DESPENSER AND CONTROL DISPLAY ON THE DOOR.

Followed directions that came with the filter. Did remove the top shelf for easier access. Very simple and quick.

Left door when opened the light wouldn’t come on. Checked the light, ok. Ordered push button switch

Removed the cover 2 screws
Squeezed the 2 side sleeves and removed
Snapped in new button, replaced the cover. Done

Valve assembly leaked

The assembly sent is different than what is on the unit. The connectors do not match. We called and it seems you don’t have the correct part. The only part we have found will only connect the ice maker or the water. It will be a shame if I have to buy a new refrigerator.

Frost in the freezer. Icemaker frozen.

I called LG and followed the instructions given over the phone. The instructions couldn't have been simpler. Disconnect the appliance for several hours and then connect again. I disconnected the appliance overnight, cleaned out the freezer, and reconnected it. Problem solved. Did not need to call a repairman and did not use the clips.

replace hand screw

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle in place. ordered the handle screw and picked up the nut. very simple to install the screw and put handle back on.
