Oven temperature running higher than setting
This was easy to replace. I removed the oven door for easier access to the back of the oven. Removed two Phillips head screws that hold the burner element and disconnected the two wires on the burner element. I could have left the wires connected, but it was easier to extract the sensor with it out of the way. The only difficulty was fishing the sensor connector out through the hole. After that, easy peezy.

Door would not close tight enough.
Removed the door and the screws that secured the oven to the cabinet. Pulled the oven out about four inches to provide access to the hinge brackets. Removed two screws on each bracket and removed the brackets. Reversed the process and all was well. Works like new.

Our contractor had buggered up the hinges on our oven door and they needed to be replaced.
First, I thought we were in big trouble as our oven is in our house on a small island in the Bahamas. We thought our choices were to either take the door back to the US have it repaired and then bring it back to the island (which could take weeks) or fly a repairman in at a cost of about $1500. By my good fortune, I found Parts Select when I did a google search for Jenair Ovens and the website walked me through how to find and order the part. It was FedEx'd and within 48 hours our door was back on and we had an oven again! Thanks so much!

Terminal block arc'ed because a wire had become loose.
Ordered and received the terminal block. Installed it along with a new 220V power cord and the appropriate insulator . Ensured the terminals were tight with a nut driver. Reinstalled cover. Then, using the control panel, I did a function check on all the heating elements, clock, oven light, to satisfy all operational requirements. All checked good! And, I was relieved that the control panel had not been shorted out as the terminal block was due to a loose connection. Easy fix.

turntable stopped working--- unsuccessful so far with the repair
removed screws from the bottom cover, installed the new motor and reinstalled the cover. The turntable is still not working. wonder if the power supply for that motor is not working. I noticed the internal microwave light glow and then burn out at about the same time as the turn table stopped working. Could that power supply provide power to both the motor and the internal light? can't find the schematics for the location of the power supply so i can test for output power.

1 Pane of Inner Safety Glass
It was necessary to take the decorative glass and metal safety panel off using a screwdriver in order to get to the frame that holds the safety glass. It was hard to slide the new glass into the frame without help from a second person to hold the other pane in place. This was an easy repair to make I would just suggest having 2 people to hole things in place while replacing screws.

Turntable jerking & rumbling noise
Removed 7 screws from microwave bottom panel. Panel swings down exposing the turntable motor. Replace motor. Replace the panel. I did not remove the micro wave or the range stove. It is a little difficult working over the stove but it can be done. It does save time. Turntable works o.k. no noise. Doing the job myself saved a $200 service call. On line instructions ,parts list and diagrams are very helpful.

Microwave would not cook
All the electrics worked on Amana microwave EXCEPT for the cooking function. Inspected the control board and found the upper switch on the door interlock was burnt. Installed new switch in minutes and everything now works fine. Unfortunately, had to purchase expensive two switch "kit" although only one switch was kaput. PartsSelect mailing was SUPER fast. Thanks for looking, Scott

Blown light bulb
You have to remove the cover which in my case was a little more difficult because the unit is wall mounted and has a frame around it. That was the hard part. Once the mounting frame was removed, you can remove the cover and the light bulb is on the top right side of the unit. One screw removes it and the new one pops right in. Put the case back on reinstall it in the wall and voila...piece of cake.
