I replaced the Control Thermistor (part # PS1149368) by removing the two screws on the bottom of the lower panel below the door. You will see the Control Thermistor just below and to the left of the discharge chute. Remove the two screws holding the Control Thermistor in place. Disconnect the two wire and reconnect to new Control Thermistor. Replace screws in reverse order of above.
Remove two phillips head screws on the inside of the door, fit the new part and reused the screws to attatch it. Careful not to overtighten the screws.
Rather than call repair co. and pay at least $100 plus parts, i decided to order parts myself. It came in less than a week. Watched the video on website. Did the repair by removing old handle with phillips head screw driver and installing new. Took about 5 min. I am a 72 tear old woman. Thanks for being online.
I researched possible causes on line and watched a PartsSelect video on YouTube on how to test. I ended up misreading test results and ordered the High Limit Thermostat but subsequently realized problem was the Terminal Block. No problem, PartsSelect took back the Thermostat (I hadn't installed it) and shipped me the Terminal Block. My dryer was back up and running in less than 7 days from initial analysis to installation of Terminal Block. Instructions that came in confirmation email for installation were perfect and easy to follow. Total cost with new power cord from Home Depot was less than $50 vs a quoted service call of $175+ parts from local electrician.
door handle broke at where screw holds it to the door
really bad design on the door, door breaks when pull is slightly upwards and washer is on the bottom of washer dryer stack so pull is always up.this is my third one. remove two screws and replace . takes about 2/3 minutes
This is th esecond handle I have installed on this washing machine. The model number has disappeared from the label from being exposed to detergent and age. This web site provided EXCELLENT guides to ensure the correct part was ordered. The picture perfectly matched my handle. The part arrived VERY quickly and with EXCELLENT packing to ensure the plastic part was not damaged. The installation required two minutes to remove the damaged handle and install the new handle.
Shreking noise when turning on, then loud noise from dryer, after a few minutes it would not be so loud but louder than normal.
Replaced everything on the dryer till I got the right problem, seriously, I now have a new dryer in an old body, still came out alot cheaper than buying a new one. I listened to every sound on youtube but none sounded like my dryer.
I took a #2 phillips head screw driver & removed the old pieces from the broken handle, & installed the new one with the 2 screws. It fits perfect & I con't have to hear my wife complain about opening the door anymore!
