Three of four electric coils won't turn on
I took out the coils manually by pulling them out with slight pressure. Then I lift the hood by first unscrewing the four screws. I have never done anything like this before just intuitive sense to locate the screws that needed to be loosened. Afterwards I remember placing something underneath like a piece of 2x4 wood block to act as support to hold the hood open so I can work on the coils. The parts I got are exactly the same as those I am replacing so I just copied the connection and voila my electric range is working like new. Well of course before I touched anything, I made sure I turned off the main switch and that nobody switches it back on without my knowledge. Thanks for providing the parts, I just saved myself from buying a $600 electric range.
remove burned out eye, replaced with new eye.new eye does not fit exactally correct onto splash pan as point on end of steel " rod " not pointed enough to slip into mate on splash pan
Turn off the power, removed the two screw (needed a wrench to help turn screw driver at first). Pulled the element forward to expose the wire connectors. Removed connectors from the old element. iInstalled new element to the wire connectors (slide on), screwed plate back into oven. Turn on power and tested
I read other repair stories before I completed the instillation and let me tell you that in it's self was a great help.
Very easy to install two screws in the front but you must first remove the wires behind the oven otherwise you may damage the wires by pulling them through.
Part was on order and I still received it within three days.
You guys are the best, I recommend the site to all of my friends and family.
Disconnect power to the oven at circuit breaker. Most important confired power removed by turning on buner, also with electrial meter. Remove hex screw. Pulled purner forward approx 3 inches remove the two wires to burner element . Installed new burner reverse rotation . Returned power to oven, all was well no problems. Not to sure of burner wattage on old and new unit,as two burners are avaiable for this unit. All ok . Thanks to parts select for speedy part needed
removed the two screws that hold the element in place, then slowly pulled the element out and disconnected the two wires, then reconnected the wires and screwed it back in - I'm a 25 year old female and did this in less than 5 min. - don't wait any longer to fix your oven!
Shut off power to the stove. I removed the screw that held the block in place. Then I lifted the top of the rage to get to the wires. I cut the wires from the old block and stripped back the insulation. Next I put the heat shrinking sleeve on. I attached the new block with the wire nuts, pulled the sleeve down and used a hair dryer to shrink them. Then you just hook it back on screw it in and your done.
Now I know why everyone said "less than 15 mins" for installation time...because "less than 5 min" wasn't an option! Went exactly as everyone described, just more quickly - turned off breaker, removed two screws, disconnected wires, reconnected wires to new element, re-attached it with screws, turned on breaker, checked it - worked like a charm. It was more work opening the box! Would have taken less time if my flashlight hadn't rolled off the open oven door leaving me with poor lighting conditions.
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires... then I reconnected the two wires to the new element and put back the two screws that hold the element in place and the job was finished.
First I checked to make sure the power was off with an electrical meter (wiggins). Next I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I then pulled off the 2 wires replaced the element and put the 2 wires on the new element. I screwed it back into place and tested the element. When I turned the oven on my new element began to glow red and the repair was now complete. Super easy.
First I unpluged the stove, then I removed the two screws that hold the heat element in place. Then I pulled the heat element out a couple of inches and disconnected the two wires. I just plugged in the new element wires, pushed the element in place and replaced the screws. It only took about 10 minutes at the most.
Repair was very east. The suppliers package had all of the necessary parts ceramic wire nuts wire Ect. Excellent. Will buy from Part Select Appliance again.
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Then reverse the process and bingo ...done
EXTREMELY fast shipping of product ...I have purchased other products and always satisfied .
Super simple, and the part arrived less than 48 hours after buying it online. I turned off the breaker to the oven and unscrewed the burner at the bracket holding it to the back wall of the oven. After pulling out the wires, all you do is tug at the two connectors and they detach. Just slide the new burner's connectors in, then screw it back into place. My arms aren't quiet long enough to reach all the way back there, so I got my son to help and I held the flashlight for him. Had it done before my husband got home from work!
