Dryer handle broke off
You guys are awesome! It took me less than 5 minutes to look your company up, place the order, and closeout. Vroom...the part was to me in 3 days! I simply took it out of the wrapper, pressed the tabs into the existing slots, and done. And that cost....baby it's good. Thank you

High Pitch Sqeaking durng dryer operation
Replaced drum bearing part and white slides. The problem was that it was not the drum slide support. It appears to be the the drum rear bearing of whch I am now ordering. The bearing replacement is a little more difficult, but I have taken this on as a challenge

Unusual Noise
Actually ordered parts for 2 different Dryers. And I can't thank you enough. I was able to repair my dryer and my mother's dryer. Which is interesting because an appliance repair man had previously told my mother that parts for her dryer were no longer available. Well, we were able to order the parts from partselect and fix her dryer(without the repair man). We were able to save my mom the cost of purchasing a new dryer. Again, thank you. I will be happy to tell everyone I know about your service.

Horrible squeaking noise that my wife allowed to go on for tooo looooonng!!
I went to replace all four of the drum slides but in the process of doing this, found out that the whole of the top support had been rubbed away! I therefore ordered a replacement top support and replaced it per the instructions in the PartSelect webpage and from the youtube demonstration and completed the repair. I had a little trouble with getting the top support installed, but by jiggling it around and persistence I was able to complete the repair. The help I received on the webpage and video were invaluable! Thank you to PartSelect and to the other users for all your help!!

The main symptom was a burning smell that got on the clothes and the dryer was somewhat louder than it had been.
Researching on the web I thought the trouble might be lint buildup or trouble w/ one of the parts involved in spinning the drum. However I cleaned out all the lint and replaced the belt and idler pulley and this didn't improve the smell (drum bearing was fine). I then concluded the trouble was the motor. Running the motor w/o the drum in place confirmed this was where the noise/smell was coming from. Replacing the motor was fiddly--I had to remove the clip holding the motor (pried the top w/ a screwdriver), wires (made a diagram so as to put back in same order, they were hard to get off--a pliers did the job), clamps holding the motor on the duct, the motor mount, the duct, the fan. Putting all this back together took a while (not hard just fiddly). Tested the motor w/out the drum in place and it sounded fine. Put the drum and back/front/top panels back and the dryer runs fine now. All parts came quickly and exactly matched the parts in my 1993 Hotpoint dryer. As others have said the pulley kit is not needed--these are included w/ the motor. BTW I am a 53-year-old lady. Thanks to all who took the time to write up their experiences--big help!!

Drum wobbling and thumping
Followed the Part Select video instructions which made the repair really easy!! Thanks for a job well done! ALSO.. the drum wobble was not caused by worn slides and felt. There are three screws holding the drum axle flange. Two of them fell out leaving the drum to flop about as it rotated. So we scavenged some screws from elsewhere on the dryer and problem solved. Once again.. thanks to Part Select for great instructional videos and great customer service ordering parts.

Broken handle on dryer
The part was shipped quickly and I received it within the week. I was afraid that because it is an older dryer the new handle would not be compatible, but it was! It installed easily, it only took a few seconds to clip it in and now it's as good as new!
