Had I not confused the old ice maker with the new one and tried to reinstall the old ice again I would have been done in less than 15 minutes. The instructions were clear and helpful, the parts all fit and it went right in. It worked within a few minutes and has been perfect since. Thanks

The coating on the ice mold came off and ice wouldn't come out.
I removed the ice maker, saw the problem, took the ice maker apart and ordered a new mold. I reassembled it with the new mold and it now makes ice but the control arm remains up after each ice dump. I plan to take the ice maker back out when we leave (we are snow birds in Florida) and see if the arm is properly placed.

The ice maker has not worked for several years
I watched the video that was offered after I placed the order which was just over 5 minutes in length. I am not totally inept but thought it would take 20 - 30 minutes but it took less than 15, and I even cleaned the floor while the fridge was pulled out. The video showed unplugging the ice maker but mine was hard wired so I did not have to. One reason I did not get this fixed when it first stopped working is I didn't want to pay the service call to diagnose and then for the repair. For about $60.00 I have a working ice maker. Thanks Parts Select!
