Icemaker stopped making ice
Very easy repair. I wasn't sure if I needed a new icemaker but after reading the reviews of this control, I took the chance that this was the problem with our icemaker as well. It was. Our refrigerator freezer has the electric eye in the door and this control works in this setup. In about a day we have a full bucket of ice Yay!!

Tab to hold door flap broke off original part
Removed the drawers, glass shelf, removed the three screws with a small socket set then took out broken part. I needed to unsnap some attached slide parts after removing the assembly. Attached removed parts from the old side piece to the new side part and replace the screwws initially removed. Then I snapped the shelf flip cover into the the new right and old left side. It is good as new now. It was quite easy once I figured out how to remove the sliding parts. It took more time to clean the shelf and bootom of the drawers than it did to replace the part.

Ice maker quit making ice
Repair was easy and the video on PartSelect was spot on. Basically you take the unit out of the freezer, undo three screws, take out the old motor assembly and put in the new one, replace the screws, and put back in the freezer. Simple.

Our ice maker quit making ice. Part of the motor assembly had broken.
I turned off the fridge. Then I took off the service door to the ice maker. I unscrewed and took off the white plastic piece covering the electrical wire connection. I disconnected the wires and pulled out the ice maker assembly. I had to push up on a couple of little clips underneath that held it in place. I unscrewed the screws that held the control and motor assembly to the rest of the icemaker. I pulled off the assembly and put the new one into place and screwed it back together. Then I replaced everything as it was originally.

Door Light switch cracked Mounting
I noticed that the refrigerator was having trouble maintaining temperature. Thought it might be time for new one until I found out that a new frig was $5k to $7K. Just happened to notice that the light switch didn't look quite right (was not sitting sqaure to the door). Once I pressed it it came loose. I then realized the the lights were staying on (50 watts of heating). Replaced the switch and the frig started working like new.

Ice maker no make ice, beeg probum
The video shows the mechanic removing the icemaker. I did not need to do that on my Whirlpool refrigerator.

All I needed to do was unplug the refrigerator, pull the white cover off, unscrew three screws, pull the original motor unit. From there, everything was reversed and I had ice. Woohoo!

Just don't do like I did and keep opening the freezer door. It took longer because I kept looking in to see if it was making ice.

Tab broke off deli tray and lid wouldn't stay on
All I had to do was remove three screws. Took a few minutes to figure out the arm that controls the air flow into the deli section but that was not difficult, and I replaced the piece and put the screws back in. Done! Beats the heck out of having someone from the company where I bought it come out, then go order the part, then come back out to install it. I figure I saved at least $100. Takes NO great talent.
