surface burner stopped working. Was not heating up.
The repair only took me 10 minutes to do. I purchased the surface replacement kit from partselect.com. The part arrived in two days. The instructions were very simple. I read the instructions on line during my purchase. When I received the new part, I simply did the repair. Including shipping, the cost was less than $20.00. Burned out surface element
I pulled the old one out and installed the new one. Never broke a sweat.

failed heating element

Two of the screw holes in the new tops do not line up with the holes in the existing pans.
I had to remove the clip attached to the edge of the pan holding the wires so I can push the top down more for the holes to line up. The thickness of the clip prevented the holes to line up.

Not heating
Was easy cut the wires of as told to do wire nut the ends together and put back together and tested and worked great. Done

One electric burner was not heating.
I simply watched the video on the PartSelect site. That made the repair easy and fast. It took perhaps 5 minutes to bring the stove back to life again.

Cartridge wire burned out
I was unable to remove the screw which held the electrical element.. so I took the new surface burner receptacle and removed the metal part, and used the old one and put in the new one in the old metal part and rewired, and it is like new.. now I need to do another one.
