11047512601 Kenmore Washer - Instructions

I watched the youtube video, then ordered the part from partselect. I then took my ipad out to the garage where I placed my washing machine and completed the removal of the old seal and installed the new one with ease. Be patient when you try and fit the new seal over the lip on the machines doorway. That was the only hard part. Once I got it started, the rest was easy. First unplug the washer. Make sure and drain washer completely. If not drained remove front panel , Remove 2.5 inch Plastic drain cover which has a catch bin on it. This will allow it to drain the washer. Put pan underneath to catch the water. Tip washer back and prop up with something 6 inches tall to get to the screws underneath. A cement block would work well. Use pliers to squeeze hose clamp together to remove the Hoses. Gently lift up The flip down cover Over the top of the wire harness Push in the tab on the wire harness, Gently pull back on the wire harness. Remove two mountings screws from the bottom of the washer. Slide the whole pump housing to the right and Lift up. Now the pump is been removed. Inspect inside the hoses For Debrie. Remove anything that is left in the hoses. Reinstall the pump in reverse order from the way you took it off. Leave front panel off Make sure all hoses and wire harness are hooked up. Run wash cycle to make sure there are no leaks. Do not put hands in while running. If no leaks replace front panel. Not sure if this is the right way But this is the way we did it and it worked well. Washer runs quieter now than it did when we got it

other than needing a new type of screw driver (not philips or flat head, but rather a starfish looking thing), the replacement was simple. took 5 minutes (after finding the correct driver)

I was already very familiar with the motor & drain pump, as I had disassembled my original one in attempt to find the problem & fix it. Finally, I broke down & purchased a new one. It was VERY easy to install! The most difficulty was finding the right sized board to put underneath & raise the machine up (with the dryer attached to the top of it) to place the board underneath so that I could tighten the bolts from underneath to attach the pump. After that was over, the rest was cake! Just attach the hoses & the electrical, which just clips in place & my washer is like new again! Yay! Oh, and yes, I'm a woman DIY'er.

We purchased a new pump and installed it very easily. My washer works great!

The only issue I had was getting the hose from the tub re-installed, but that was my fault, the pump went right in. It couldn't have been easier. I was very pleased, received the replacement pump in just a couple of days, packaged very well for shipping, and had it installed in a matter of minutes. It took longer to take off front panel to access pump than it did to install it. Very pleased with "Part Select".....will use again!

First thing, unpluged the washer. I removed the lower front acces panal. I then propped the washer up on 2 pint sized paint cans to reach the pump mounting screws. I disconnected the wire bundle going to the pump. Then removed the inlet and outlet hoses from the pump. Then I removed the 2 mounting screws on bottom and slide the pump to the left and removed. I then pump the new pump on the same way I took the old one off, but in reverse. Easy and fast the worst part was the price of the pump.

Replace water pump

Put towel down to catch excess water, opened drain screen, used pliers to remove squeeze clamps on both hoses, removed front hold-down torx-head bolt and slid pump assembly out. Compared new part to old and found 2 differences 1:no hold-down location in front for bolt,2: the rubber padded feet are not the same. I was able to remove the two screws on the right side and use just the rubber pad for support while sliding the left side in the slot and is was plenty stable and works just fine. I guess the Whirlpool Duet model is a bit different on mounting but everything else fit quite well, the washer is working perfectly again.

Removed top panel. Removed rear panel. Replaced belt. Fairly easy only issue was getting the actual belt pulled enough to wrap around the pulley.

Took of the panel, unscrewed the old drain, screwed the new drain in. Very very simple to do! The first part I received leaked, I called customer service and they gave me a refund and express shipped a new part - no questions asked. Very good customer service!

unplug washer from outlet carefully tilt back to get at underside of washer remove bottom panel. pump location lower right front. remove two hoses from back using pliers keep note on hose location. remove two bolts on underside of machine slide pump to the right to release from rubber holders to install reverse the process also good idea to use the new hose clamps that come with your new pump and the rubber mounts if they are included

very easy to take off the bad belt and easy to put the other on. skill level would be a low anyone with a socet rench and a screw driver can replace the drive belt. shipping was extremly fast. 3-6 day shipping was there in 2 days.

I removed the three bottom screws and removed the plate. Removed the control panel, removed the star screw on the left side and pulled off the front panel of the machine. Loosen the bellow clamp with a phillips head and pull off the front spring clamp on the bellow. Pull off the old bellow and re installed the new one. Installed and tightened the bellow clamp and spring loaded clamp on the front of the bellow and re installed the panel, and control panel. Checked for leaks.

Well first of all when you buy this washer, the salesperson should tell you about checking the drain catch (ahead of the pump) and emptying out whatever get's caught in there. Never had a clue until it wouldn't work, then did a search on the internet, and darn if I didn't find specific instructions on how to open and clean out. Mine was packed full of hair pins, small change, lint, buttons, etc, all kinds of stuff. Guessing that is why the pump went out in the first place, it was so packed full that the pump could not draw any water through. But even after I cleaned it out, the pump was already shot. So called a service man, he said the pump would cost me around $200, then his labor to put it in, plus a $68 service call to just come and look at it, and $68 when he comes back to replace it. So I searched the internet for how to replace, came up with a very detailed You Tube video on how to replace Whirlpool Duet Pump. So ordered my pump from PartsSelect, just over $100, and replaced it myself. Super easy, only about 5 minutes. Thanks! —A very determined housewife!
