Online I learned how to diagnose the problem and order the part I needed. Replacement was simple and now we have ice. It works perfect, no adjustments needed.

Spent six hours melting the ice berg, twenty minutes cleaning things up and ten minutes replacing the ice maker. The video was great the only piece of information that was missing was a statement that it may that several hours for ice to be produced. Thanks for the prompt and courteous support during ordering, a good product and support video.

The refrig. Is about 30 years old. The new solenoid looked and mounted nothing like the original. I driled holes in the frig and attach the solenoid with sheet metel screws. There were not enough fittings and hoses so I bought a braded metal hose to attach the ro line and the valve inlet. I used the parts in the kit to attach the water feed line. To the ice maker I did not try to stuff all the hoses and lines back into the cramped cavity in the frig. W ell how does it look? The solenoid sticks out a little and there are a lot of hoses behind the frig. I do not spend much time behind the frig so who cares. The ice maker is making ice!

I disconnected the power, using a screw drier loosened the screws and disconnected the old ice maker. disconnected the ice maker power and assembled the new Ice maker first connecting the control bar then connect the power inside the refrigerator. connected the ice maker with the screws ensuring it is balanced so the water doesn't overflow. turned the power power on. it took about 6 hours for it to begin producing ice. this was an easy job just make sure the ice maker is rinsed thoroughly before connecting and very it is balance with the first few runs of water.

What took the longest was emptying the very full freezer. One screwdriver. Note, three power cables included with the new unit. All were too short. The "old" cable showed no signs of wear,so i used it. Making ice in ~30 minutes!!! (-:

Removed 3 screws with nutdriver, unplugged old unit, plugged in new unit without needing any of the 4 wire adapters supplied, replaced shutoff arm from old unit, replaced screws and watched the ice flow. great replacement part.

1. Turn off power, shut off water supply
2. Loosen top two screws of ice maker (will slide up and off, no need to take top two out)
3.Remove bottom screw from ice maker
4.Pulled unit out and disconnected wiring harness.
5.Removed wire shut off arm from old unit and installed it on new unit.
6 Connected wiring harness on new unit to refrigerator.
7. Slid new unit down onto top two screws, put in bottom screw and tightened all three
8. Turned on power and water supply.
Had ice being made within one hour. Part Select has given me great service, highly recommend.

part was easy to find on line at PartSlect. part arrived as promised and I was able to install the icemaker in less than one half hour. I also found a good video explaning the installation process.

If the ice maker mold develops a hole it will leak water causing an ice icicle to form on the bottom. If this is your symptom its time to replace the ice maker. The first step is to shut off water supply and unplug refrigerator. Next loosen the two upper screws and try not to remove them. On the bottom towards the front of the ice maker there is one screw. This is mounting bracket screw, remove it completely. At this point hold the ice maker a push it upwards to remove it from the upper mounting brackets. Once it is free from the mounting brackets you will have access to the wiring harness. The plug clips in place so you will have to spread it while unplugging it. Most likely you will have to remove shut-off arm and may be the heat shield as well from old unit. You may have to tug them some what to remove them from the front of the old ice maker. Suggest wearing work gloves for this step to avoid being cut. Install parts on the new ice maker by snapping them in place. Verify that the new icemaker has the correct wiring harness if so you are all set to install it. Place the new unit in the compartment and plug it in. Make sure it is also lined up in the rear where the water tube is a well. Now line up the upper screws with both support brackets and push down gently to lock them in. Install lower mounting screw. Snug up the upper screws enough so the unit is flush to the freezer wall and feels secure. Turn on water supply and plug in the refrigerator. Your Done And A Hero to your better half.

After watching the how to video posted on Parts Select I thought this looks very simple. It takes you step by step on how to install the ice maker. It was very easy and the video was right on the mark! Thanks again Parts Select you saved me a bunch of $$$.

I reviewed the video and followed the instructions. Simple and straight forward. A mirror helps see the one hidden screw head.

Replaced with the new unit, then found water still not going into tray, service tube was faulty, new one installed and unit worked fine, . . . Probably did not need to replace the whole unit.

I replace the Ice Maker unit. Not only was the replacement/repair activity very easy, locating, ordering and receiving the part from PartSelect was priced competitively, very easy, quick and I received the part earler than expected (always a nice thing!).
