water leaking into the tub when not in use and would not drain after wash cycle
When washer failed to drain after washing, there was a test you can do with the display pad. Doing the test, the water pump would make a loud grinding noise. I knew the pump was bad, as the washer would not drain at all. The other problem was leaking water into the wash tub after washing. This had been a problem for a while . We were just
... Read more turning the water off after washing clothes. This was a good time to repair this as well. Replaced the water control valve and that problem was solved as well.
It was going to take my normal repair person at least 5 days to get the part. I ordered the part at half of what he was going to charge me (I did pay for the overnight shipping) and he installed it the next day.

Part needed for water found in tub of washing machine overnight
For model number WPGT9350C0PL
Hi Bennie, Thank you for the question. If water is leaking back into the tub of the appliance when not in use is caused by a defective Water Inlet Valve. The valve is not repairable so it will need to be replaced. Good luck with the repair!

This part seems to fit the symptom of leaking while filling but what tests can i do to isolate the problem and what kind of risk of creating a short circuit while trying to diagnose this?
For model number WPGT9360E0WW
Hi Eric,
Thank you for your inquiry. To verify if the water inlet valve or any other part is causing the issue, you will need to test the parts with a multimeter to check the continuity. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The hot water is slow to fill. Th control board was recently replaced with the recall. It seemed to correct the problem however the slow hot water fill is back to the same condition. Is it as simple as replacing the inlet valve assembly?
For model number WPGT9360E0PL
Hi J,
Thank you for your inquiry. I would check both the water inlet valve and the control board with multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
