Can you please tell me how to access the a/s assembly motor fan ;rf h9 on a Samsung refrigerator mod #rf30hdedtsr. Thank you matt. Cell #516 578 8167
For model number RF30HDEDTSR

Hello Matt, thank you for your question. To get at this motor, the back panel of the fridge will have to be removed. There might be a couple of panels (top and bottom perhaps) that have to be removed. They may be held in place with some screws, then tabs that connect it into the other panel. The motor is going to be mounted into the back panel cover, so when you remove the panel, be sure to be careful of any wires that connect into the motor. You don't want to pull too hard and break the wires. I hope this helps!

My refrigerator is making a loud noise coming from the back upper corner. Sounds like a fan blade I’d hitting on something. Shuts off as soon as you open either refrigerator door. Is this the refrigerator evaporator motor?
For model number RF28HMEDBSR

Hello Mark, thank you for writing. It is most likely your circulation fan in the freezer. Normally the fan stops when you open the door. It is a normal operation. Check to make sure that the fan is not blocked by frozen items or that the fan doesn't have an ice build up. The Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor is PartSelect Number PS9603956. Good luck and have a great day.

I THINK I need an evaporator fan as it is the unit that shuts of when the refrigerator section is opened. Most of what I have mentions a location in the freezer section however this definitely sounds like it is located above the freezer in the main refrigerator section. Does this part come with basic directions?

Main refrigerator was not cooling down adequately.
I looked up a YouTube video and it gave pretty well laid out instructions on how to replace the Twin fan assembly in the main compartment.
There was also a suspicion that the sensor wasn't working properly and the fan had ice on it.
Once I removed the main housing at the back of the inside of refrigerator it was relatively easy to replace the fan motor, and sensor.
You have to follow the disassemble procedure closely in getting the main housing out.
You have to remove the clear plate covering the water filter. Then remove the bottom shelf, which then gives you access to the large white back panel. After that its easy to replace the motor and sensor.

Easy repair
I ordered the evaporator fan for my Samsung fridge...it arrived earlier than expected, was easy to install and is running w/o any issues after the install. After reading mixed reviews on other companies and then consistent positive reviews on parts select- made the decision to go with parts select easy! I'm very pleased with the purchase.

By far the easiest purchase!
I'm not a tech or gadget person. I was scared of ordering the wrong part for my broken fridge. This website help guide me to ordering the correct part! Our refrigerator is working like a charm! Would have spent $400 with Samsung repairman. I ordered the part and paid a local handyman $60 to install it! Best money I ever spent!

Fast delivery
When initially shopping for this part, this site was more expensive than others, so I ordered the (in stock) part overnight from there; who wouldn't want to save $50? Well, I waited 4 days, still hadn't received it and called. They assured me it'd be there within two days. That didn't happen, so I called again. This nonsense carried on for 3 WEEKS before I ordered from here. Three weeks without a refrigerator, living out of a cooler, and replacing ice regularly, is a LONG time. I got the part overnight, less than 24 hours from ordering from PartSelect, and promptly cancelled my order from the other site.
They sent the part a week after I cancelled my order, with overnight shipping, and now consider the order fulfilled. They're still making it extremely difficult to get a refund. I would order from here again in a heartbeat; it may be more expensive, but I spent more than what I saved on ice while waiting for the discounted part from the other site.

Not difficult to replace, once you have it out....that is!
The main challenge with replacing this fan is less the replacement of the part than the fact that if you are experiencing the fridge temperature malfunction usually associated with this part, it means there will be ice all over the coil and fan. Before you can actually reach the it, the ice needs to be melted using a hot air blower.
