Timer knob cracked twice. Found out the timer switch was bad.

Removed the 3 knobs. They just pull off. Removed 6 screws on the back side of the control panel. The front (plastic panel then just separates from the back). Then look at how the switch is mounted on the plastic panel. There should be 2 small pieces of plastic that holds it in. Carefully twist the switch in the appropriate direction so it comes free. Before you remove any wires from the old switch remember what colors go where ! I used needle nose pliers to remove the connections from the switch. Make the new connections, mount the switch, put the screws back in the panel. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. UNPLUG THE ELECTRICAL CORD !!!

Timer knob and shaft broke

Timer knob broke (again) so we just used pair of pliers to set time for drying. This caused timer's plastic knob shaft to broke very quickly, so whole timer had to be replaced. I didn't have ANY experience with this but it was very simple. I disconnected power cable from the outlet. Using screwdriver removed back panel, then using pliers disconnected all wires from the old timer and connected them back to the new one. And that's it, dryer working like new.

The person on the phone was so helpful in locating the exact timer needed. We received the prt 3 days later and it was so easy to install. I would highly recommend this company. A local shop wanted to charge 3x more then what we paid.

Dryer began shutting off before timer had come to the "off" position.

I first removed the the timer knob and the other ones from the front of the control panel. Then I removed the three screws that held the rear access to the control panel. Disconnected all wires to the timer keeping written info to which wires went to which terminal. The replacement timer was exactly like the original in the placement and designation of the terminals. I then twisted the bad timer out of the plastic holders, placed the new one and twisted it in place, and replaced the wires. I then replaced the screws in the rear of the panel and replaced the knobs. It did not take much longer than writing this. Very easy and I am completely satisfied.

Replace timer

took back off dryer, removed one screw with Torx wrench securing timer, removed one wire at a time from old timer placing on new timer to ensure correct wiring, put timer back in place tightening the one screw to secure. Took less than 10 min. Works perfectly and I saved myself $200 repair bill from Sears, the total for buying my parts at this site about $80. Well worth doing it yourself.

Timer mechanism on dryer was dead

I followed a YouTube video demonstration, which explained how to open the Dryer console, disconnect eight different wire from the old, malfunctioning timer mechanism, remove the old timer, and install the new timer, reconnecting all of the wires to terminals on the new timer.

No heat

I took the new part and placed it next to the old part. One by one I pulled the plugs off the old part and put on new one and once that was done put the new one in place and secure it down. Piece of cake!
