Have a new switch how do you tell what terminal is positive which is the negative there are no markings on it

Thank you for your inquiry. The switch should hook up as the previous one. When you uninstall the old one keep note of how the old is installed and hook it up accordingly. You may have to consult your owner's manual for further information. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
