Our washer has begun to leave our clothes soggy after the complete cycle, what are the possible causes? Also, do you have any GE certified repairmen in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area?

Hi Gary, Thank you for your question. If your clothes are still wet after a wash cycle has completed, there are some things that you will need to check to resolve this issue. First, make sure that you have the washer on the correct cycle. Different wash cycles have different speeds. Then check the drain hose to make sure it is not bent and that it does not have a blockage. You should also make sure that the drain hose is positioned correctly in standpipe and it is able to drain properly. If the hose checks out fine, check the drain pump to see if it is clogged. If there are any objects in the pump, this can prevent water from draining out of the washer causing your clothes to remain wet after a wash cycle has completed. If there are any blockages, remove them or replace the pump if it is damaged. If the washer is not balanced, your clothes will remain wet at the end of a wash cycle. Do not overfill the washer and make sure that the load is balanced before starting a wash cycle. Lastly make sure door lock is working correctly, if it is not the washer will not function as it should. You will need to test the part with a multi-meter. Begin by unplugging your washing machine, and then remove the top panel or cabinet. Locate the lid lock and verify that it is being activated when the lid is closed. If it is, remove the lid lock in order to test it. Set your multi-meter to the Rx1 setting, touch the probes to the terminals, and press and hold the switch button down. The multi-meter should show a reading zero or nearly zero. If your test produces different results, you will need a replacement lid lock. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Lost power and upon getting electric back the washing machine will not fill with water. Checked supply (good), filter (good). Machine starts and runs but says 'load sense' all the time. Any ideas?

Hi Anthony, Thank you for your question. If the washer will not fill with water, there are some parts that you will have to check to see which ones are causing the issue. You will need to check inlet screens and hoses, the water inlet valve and the electronic control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My washer leaks alot of water from the bottom during drain cycle. Which part do you think is bad?
For model number GFWR48oF0MC

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your question. If you have water leaking from the washer during a wash or drain cycle, check the area of the drain pump. Look for signs of a loose hose clamp or a leaking hose connected to the pump first. If the leak is originating from the pump then a replacement is necessary. The drain pump is normally located on the base frame or attached to the drive motor, and may be accessed by removing the front or rear panel on most washers. Disconnect power to the appliance before attempting service. You will also need to check the water inlet valve and the hoses. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
