Power cord has power. Nothing works on microwave. Glass fuse is fine, i tested it. What else am i overlooking?
For model number PVM9005DJ2BB
Hello Dale, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the thermostat, part number WB27X11213. If the fuse is fine, and the unit is getting power, the thermostat may be blown which would prevent the unit from powering up. When testing this part this thermostat should be open at room temp and closes at a set temp. If the thermostat is fine the next step would be to test the main board part number WB27X25603. I hope this helps!

Opening the door while microwave is in use trips the circuit breaker
For model number jvm3160rf2ss
Hello Joe, thank you for your question. Inside the microwave are three micro switches; primary and secondary interlock micro switches and an Interlock Monitor switch. The switches are supposed to shut down the microwave if it is running and the door is opened. But, I've found the upper primary switch can stick internal at times and when the door is opened the stuck switch will, because of the way it is wired as a safety switch, cause either the fuse or possibly the main circuit breaker for the oven to pop. We would recommend testing the switches to determine which one is faulty and replacing the corresponding switch. Here is a link that will show you how to test these switches. https://www.partselect.com/Microwave+test-door-switch+repair.htm I hope this helps!

How difficult is it to replace the thermal fuse? Does the capacitor need to be discharged or can this be done without doing that? Thank you.

Hello Andrew, Thank you for the question. When ever working with a microwave, it will need to be discharged. Most customers have said it was a easy repair and took under 30 mins to do. Hope this helps!

A cotton potato bag set the bag on fire and just burnt the bag. The microwave does not work. The part has a g and ksd 201 and 70. Is this a thermostat? Thanks for helping me.
For model number JVM3160DF1bb
Hello Carol, thank you for writing. Unfortunately the numbers you provided off the part do not help locate it, but if your microwave will no longer turn on, you may want to consider replacing either the Thermostat part number PS8754628 or the Fuse part number PS3486694. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

I think the microwave overheated and I need to replace the thermal fuse, but I cannot find a part by that name. Should I replace the thermostat 120/0 part number PS8754627 or thermostat - 70/40 part number PS8754628 or how can I tell which one needs to be replaced?
Hello Jonathan, Thanks for your question. The part number PS8754627 is the thermal fuse thermostat used for your model. I hope this helps.

Display lights up, but blows breakers when you hit start.
For model number JVM3160DF3WW
Hi Ben, Thank you for your question. If the microwave is tripping the breaker when it is turned on, then the microwave is either malfunctioning or their are too many appliances plugged into the same circuit. If the microwave is malfunctioning =, Plug the microwave into an area where the breaker is set for a higher amp rating (like a garage), then turn on the microwave and see what happens. If the circuit breaker in that area trips, it’s a sign that something is wrong with the microwave. You should either have the microwave fixed, or replace it. If the breaker does not trip, it means the microwave is fine, but it needs its own dedicated circuit. If you have too many appliances plugged into the same circuit, look at the label on the tripped breaker. If it says microwave, it is probably on a dedicated circuit. If not, it is likely that the microwave is sharing a circuit with other appliances and the circuit is becoming overloaded. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
