What exactly does this part do for my fridge/ freezer and/or evaporator/ condenser?
For model number B26FT505SNS/01/H
Hello Niki, thank you for your question. The sensor takes the internal temperature of the fridge/freezer and relays that information to the temperature control board in the unit to maintain the set temperature. I hope this helps.

what is the correct operating reading (ohms) to determine if BOSCH REFRIGERATOR HUMIDITY SENSOR PART # 00618543 is working? what ohms reading will this be consider defective?
For model number BOSCH REFRIGERATOR HUMIDITY SENSOR PART # 00618543
Hi Jerry,
Thank you for your question. Before removing and testing the sensor, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Before testing the sensor, you will need to place the sensor in ice water for 5 minutes in order to bring the temperature to 32 degrees F. The sensor will produce different readings at different temperatures, and the suggested ranges below only apply to sensors at a temperature of 32 degrees F. With the probes on the terminals and your multimeter set to Rx1, you should receive a reading of 16,600 ohms (+/- 5 percent). If you receive a reading outside this range, you will need a replacement temperature sensor. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!
