Piece that holds the insert broke
The dishwasher has inserts that can be raised and lowered to adjust the space between the dishes. One of the holders broke. I took out the old one and put a new one in.

Read moreas you face the dishwasher) The drawings on the site are tiny so it is hard to figure out which is the correct piece There are 3 different numbers for each piece. the number on the rack assembly diagram (0647) the PartSelect Number (PS8728043) and the Manufacturer Part Number (00616990) I wound up ordering a number of parts and returning the ones that I didn't need (at my expense)
2) Be sure to take pictures before you remove the old piece. Once the broke piece was removed, it was not obvious to me how it the new piece connected.
Once I had the correct piece, pulling out the old one and installing the new one took no time at all.

where does part number 00616990 go inside the dishwasher? the part came off and I cant figure out where it goes

Hello Daniel, thank you for getting in touch. There is no such picture of the part installed. We have found some relevant instructions to install the holder. It attaches to the tine row of the rack. Pull the rack and fold the tine rows. Then, slide the holder over the bent end of the tine row so the arched part fits over the rack wire, press it down and forward towards the front of the rack. The holder should lock with the click sound. We hope this information helps!
