Need to replace element in glass smoothtop. How do I take apart to reach the burned out element?
For model number 790.45799103
Hello Carley, thank you for the question. We are providing you with instructions that will help you replace the element.
1. Grab the sides and lift from the front. A lift-up rod will support the top in its raised position. Only lift the top high enough to allow the support rod to rest in place under the front of the cooktop.
2- Now you have access to the element.
3- Remove the screws securing the element.
4- Replace the element with the new one.
5- To lower the top, lift the top slightly and lower the rod. Lower the range top down into the range frame.
