This is a leak sensor designed for use with a range of Samsung dishwashers. This sensor is designed to detect if water begins leaking from the water supply. If/when it detects a leak, it stops the water being supplied to the dishwasher, preventing damage and mess to the dishwasher and home of the user. This sensor may fail when it is exposed to water, so it is important to check this sensor occasionally to ensure it still works. This is an OEM leak sensor, and attaches via its wire harness underneath the dishwasher, so tools like a screwdriver will be necessary. This sensor comes individually and does not come with any other parts or securing screws.

Samsung leak sensor - arrived open
Samsung leak sensor arrived In an open bag, I would assume there’s somebody else ordered it opened it and returned it and it was sent to me. Thankfully after I went through all of the time to pull out my dishwasher it worked when I went ahead and installed it. However the company does need to make sure that they don’t send open bags with possibly a return defective part

What could be the problem?
For model number DW80K7050UG AA03
Hello Greg, thank you for reaching out. The problem seems to be with the Door Switch and you may need to replace it, the part number is PS12394435. If that does not help, we would recommend checking the Control Board, part number PS12072672. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
What sensor could be responsible for throwing oe error?
For model number Dw80f800uws
Hi Wayne, thank you for the question. The sensor that is responsible for the OE error is the overflow sensor, part number PS12085684. We hope this helps!
Machine turns on and drains and then the heavy cycle light flashes. Someone from Samsung claims it’s probably the leak sensor. Is there anyway to test the sensor? How will I know if it’s a sensor, a leak, or something else?
For model number DMT 400 RHS
Hi Ric, thank you for reaching out. The leak sensor, part number PS4222735, measures the amount of moisture in the clothes and sends the reading to the control board which then decides how long the cycle should be run. A faulty leak sensor might cause the control to drain before the clothes are dried out. You may perform a continuity test to check if the sensor is faulty. Touch the multimeter prongs with the clips of the sensor and set the reading to maximum resistance. Introduce a little moisture on the sensor. If the reading changes, this will indicate that the sensor has continuity. If no significant change or fluctuation in reading is observed, this would indicate that the sensor is not sensing the moisture level properly. We hope this information helps!

The pumps keep working, but when I lify a bit from front, it stops, may be a leak sensor in action, any solution?
For model number DW80F600UTS
Hi Jatinder, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the issue could be with the leak detector sensor, part number PS4222735. It attaches to the dishwasher base and communicates with the control board if it detects water. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!

Dishwasher is not allowing water in and not issue with water source causing error code LC and pump to stay running. When you add water manually pump works but will shut off after done and turn right back on
For model number DW80K7050UG
Hi Linda, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the LC error code indicates that the moisture has been found in an unwelcome location, even if a leak is not obvious or audible. We would suggest checking the moisture leak detector sensor assembly, part number PS4222735. It attaches to the dishwasher base and communicates with the control board if it detects water. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
