This morning the knob on my dryer stopped adjusting. I was able to remove and select setting/timer with vice grips. The dryer is running presently. I don't know what the setting is though. Will i need to replace more than the knob?Thanks jo anne

Hi JoAnne, Thank you for your question. It depends. If the timer behind the knob is broken at all at the stem because of the plyers then you may need to change it. Otherwise you should only need the knob. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Sorry i was on the page for Frigidaire flse60rgs0 washer dryer combo so i thought it would come through. The dryer keeps going when the door is opened

Hello. I have a Frigidaire stackable unit. The dryer works grest. The washing machine is the problem. The issue is: The washing machine isn't cycling correctly through. As an example, set it to wash. It fills correctly. It begins agitating on its own. But it continues agitating until we advance the knob to the next cycle. The next cycle is rinse and spin. This continues until we advance the nob to the next cycle. What part do i need to purchase from you to solve this problem? Thank you!

Hi Brad, Thank you for your inquiry. If the timer is not advancing there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. I had to replace a knob for my dryer

The part number was on the knob itself. I did a google search and found it at this site and ordered it. My initial surprise was how fast i received the part. I installed it in about 3 seconds and it's been fine ever since.

Broken Time Selector Knob

I removed the broken knob from the metal shaft with a pair of pliers and slid the new knob in place.

The plastic knob broke on my dryer and I couldn't set the timing on the dryer.

I first thought I needed to purchase a new washer/dryer and in fact, I ordered new appliances. But then I tried using pliers to set the timing on the dryer and was able to get the dryer to work and thought I'd try to buy a new knob. I cancelled the order for the new washer/dryer and in several days I received the replacement part. The new part worked perfectly and instead of spending $1,800 for a new washer/dryer, my 15 year old appliance worked perfectly. All I had to do was put the new knob in place (no tools required!) and I was all set. Very happy with my purchase. The knob, including shipping, handling & tax cost close to $50, but it was much better than spending $1,800!

The timer knob broke

I ordered the part from partselect using the live chat line. I got the part confirmed and it arrived without incident and on time. It’s an easy fix. Take the old knob off by a slight pull. Put the new knob on being attentive to the D shaft. Push it on with slight pressure. Easy.
