This genuine OEM water valve controls the flow of water to the ice maker and water dispenser of your refrigerator. It opens to allow water into the designated compartments and closes once the desired amount has been dispensed or the ice tray is filled. If it is broken, you might experience issues like no ice production, a non-functioning water dispenser, or leaks at the back of the fridge. Connecting the water inlet valve is easy, just snap the inlet valve wires into the wire connector.

Part was faulty
This review is not directed at partselect, they were more than helpful. My part was faulty. The water inlet valve wouldn’t turn of causing my freezer to flood. Partselect refunded my money. Will be ordering another part from them, hopefully the part will work.

Ice maker makes ice , then freezes into a solid lump. Do not see any water dripping, but after ice is made, then it begins to freeze solid, even after the ice maker is turned off
For model number LFC25760TT
Hello Rita, thank you for your question. The issue may be with your ice maker and the heater that is located on the underside of the icemaker. You're water valve may also be allowing a slight bit of water to come in after filling the unit, thus causing there to be too much water in the ice maker and the ice freezing into a clump. I would test the water valve to be sure its opening and closing completely. The part number for the ice maker is PS3532298 and the water valve part number is PS3527440. There are links on our site on how to test both parts at the following link : https://www.partselect.com/Repair/Refrigerator/Not-Making-Ice/. I hope this helps!

How does it plug in electically
For model number 5220JB2010A
Hi Barry, thank you for reaching out. To connect the water inlet valve, there is a wire connector at the top of the water inlet valve on the washer. You may just snap the inlet valve wires into the connector. Glad to be of assistance!
