The door on the microwave won't stay closed. The "hooks" slide up and down as though there isn't any spring tension.

Hi Roy, Thank you for the question.The door latch hook and spring are not sold sepratly from the door assembly,Part Number: PS3511070. You can try to dismantle the door to see if maybe the spring may have came lose and fell off the hook.Hope this helps!

Door doesn't latch anymore, is there a spring to the hooks on the door that close to the inner part of microwave, if so what is the replacement cost

Door won't stay closed. How do I access latch/spring component. Do I need to remove the door to access?
For model number PVM9215DF1WW
Hi Karen, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, to access the door latch, you may need to remove the door. You may need to follow these steps to access the door latch. These may not be of the same model but will help you to access the door latch.
1. To remove the door, take off the screws on the top of the microwave.
2. To remove the vent, lift up the door and pull.
3. Use a tool to pry up the plastic outer part of the microwave door.
4. Snap the frame and remove the screws on the bottom of the microwave.
5. Lift up and access the door latch.
6. The spring is inside the plastic hook.
7. To reinstall the door, follow the same procedure back ward.

Microwave door does not open
