My ice tray is broken. The Frigidaire part number on page ew28bs711 is number 16. Is this the ice maker chute? Frigidaire # 5303918571 or part select # ps3508585. I don't want to spend the money on the whole ice maker if not needed. Thanks for your time.

Hello. Water keeps freezing in fill tube. The little black rubber gasket pc, it is cracked and has fell apart. ( The little lips that hang past the gasket type)... That is cracked and fell apart. Wondering that would make the water freeze in fill tube??

Hello Chad, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the gasket, part number PS3508585, can most probably cause this issue. We would recommend replacing it to solve the problem. It attaches to the water fill tube grommet and prevents warm air from entering the freezer through the tubing opening. We hope this helps.
