This splash guard attaches to the garbage disposal in your sink, and prevents water and food debris from splashing back up when the disposal is operating. If your current splash guard is damaged, you should consider replacing it. This part is black in color, and is made of rubber. It is approximately 3 inches in diameter. This splash guard has a small opening in the middle that is approximately 1/4-inch in diameter, as well as 12 smaller openings and slits that allow you to feed water and food items into the garbage disposal. This product is sold individually, and works in conjunction with the stopper, part 3506779.

old one wore out and had shrunk and coming loose.
Turn off power to unit (switch off) Put rubber gloves on and pulled out old guard. Then cleaned the area on the sides and the under the lip with wet paper towels. Crud had built up. Once clean push the new guard in. Since it was new it was tight .push down moving finger pressure around until it seated. Works fine.

What is the exact diameter of splash guard wc3x124? Will it fit a 3" diameter garbage disposal? (anaheim-whirlaway 191-pcm)
Hello Eric, thank you for your question. This part is 3-1/4" in diameter. We would have to have the model number of the unit to verify if would work with that appliance. I hope this helps!
