Turn table did not rotate
Removed the original synchronous motor and replaced it with a new one. It turned on and rotated for about 1 day and stopped. I tested the motor for continuity and it was good. I need help in further trouble shooting.

The turntable motor was dead
For this under cabinet wall mounted unit you will need two people to remove it. There are two mounting screws inside the bottom of cabinet. Remove the two screws and lower the cabinet. Place it on a flat surface and remove the 8 screws
From the bottom of the cabinet. Then remove the two screws from turntable motor. Reverse the procesdure and the job done. Don’t forget to turn off power. Good luck!

The turntable stopped turning at the exact same time the microwave stopped heating. Does the microwave stop heating if the turntable stops? Are the two issues related? Can you suggest what i can do? Thanks
For model number jvm1540dm4ww
Hello Allen, thank you for your question. A part that can cause both the turntable to turn, and the unit to heat are the door switches. If one or more of these switches are faulty, the unit will light inside, but won't heat or turn the table. I would recommend replacing the switches first. There is one of part number SWITCH MONITOR INTERLOCK Part Number: PS2370056 and two of part number rimary Interlock Door Switch PartSelect Number: PS2370055 for this appliance. I hope this helps!

GE Microwave Intermittent Problem. Sometimes the turntable will not turn, as a result unit doesn’t heat. Light comes on. Thought it might be one of the three door switches. Because sometimes works if “fiddle” with door. But today when stopped turning I tapped on bottom of unit under motor and then it started working again. Could the motor work intermittently? Is it likely motor or door switches? I see how to replace door switches but if motor, how to replace motor? Thanks for the help. dan
For model number JVM1540DM5BB
Hello Dan, thank you for asking. Based on our research, the issue is likely with the door switch. You may need to replace the monitor interlock switch, part number PS2370056, or the primary interlock switch, part number PS2370055. This part should only be installed by a licensed technician, as the microwave can contain electrical charges even when the unit is unplugged. If you are replacing it, you may need to unscrew the front panel to access the door switches after discharging the capacitor. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
