Ice dispenser motor runs and sounds normal but does not turn blades or dispense ice, i'm assuming something is stripped in motor
For model number KSRP25F
Hi Rich,
Thank you for the question. I would suggest replacing the motor its self as the parts to the motor that turn the blades are not sold separately.
Good luck with this repair!

Pushing the ice dispensing bar produces no motor sound and no ice. Suspect it is the dispensing motor. Correct? If i order a new motor on-line, what is the ease of installation? Or, do i need to call a repair service"?
For model number GC3JHAXTS01
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. Yes, the most likely issue is the dispenser motor. This is a fairly easy repair and shouldn't require a technician. I hope this helps.

Dispenser motor drive shaft raising and does not spin. Removed cap part 23 and reset the shaft part 26. Works for short period then raises again to become disconnected from the drive motor.
For model number 10658966700
Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your question. Check the end of the shaft that fits into the motor and see if it is worn. If it is worn the shaft should be replaced. If the shaft is fine, you will need to replace the motor. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
Refrigerator quit cooling overnight. Ice in bucket melted and some water ran down the drive shaft to the dispenser motor. After refrigerator was fixed and cooling again, the motor would not run. Removed motor, thawed out with hair dryer, and left overnight to dry out before reinstalling. Motor worked for 6 weeks but now will not work. I removed the ice bucket to get access to the drive shaft and turned the shaft from the motor. Motor worked for a day or so but stopped again. Repeated turning shaft 2 more times and motor would run for day or so.
For model number KSCS25INSS02
Hi George,
Thank you for your question. Based on the information you provided, the motor will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I am looking at item number 2315547. It is the ice dispenser motor. When pushing on ice dispenser i hear a soft hum but nothing else. Will replacing the motor solve this issue?
Hello Louis, thank you for your question. Yes, that is most likely the issue if you are not able to get crushed or cubed ice to dispense. I hope this helps!

I replaced the ice flapper and now ice motor doesn't run have water it works
For model number ED5JHAXTS00
Hi Clair, thank you for your question. You could double check that you installed the door correctly, we do have a video here: https://youtu.be/2UVP9vBbxGQ. Otherwise you may have to check the wiring to your motor or replace the motor itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Dispenser motor wore out
Unplugged power from unit. Removed tray bracket, removed 2 screws from drive motor cover, removed 4 screws from motor assembly, disconnected power from assembly, Replaced rubber seal at the lower end of the recently installed new shaft. Re-connected the power plug, placed the new dispenser assembly into position making sure the shaft was properly seated in the motor. Replace the four screws, plugged in main power and tested the dispenser prior to replacing the ice container. Tightened the screws, replace the cover and the tray bracket.

When pushing on ice dispenser paddle in exterior door, there was no sound from motor or auger.
I had to remove ice storage compartment sitting above motor on door to expose auger gear. Then used a small socket to remove 4 screws from underside of auger motor compartment in door. Motor drops out with a small wiring harness attached. This simply unplugs and then swaps in with new motor. Auger axel was sanded to remove rust and grease applied. Motor door and ice compartment were then reattached.

Loud and whining noise
The part did come quickly and was easy enough to install. It is much louder than the old one and seems to pulse a little. But bottom line is the ice does dispense!
