Any instructions for installing this? Thank you.
For model number JB250RFSS
Hi Jay, Thank you for the question. When replacing the Top Broil Element you will need to unplug the appliance first. Next remove the oven racks. The element has brackets that hold it to the top of the oven cavity. The brackets are held in place by screws. There is also a bracket at the back of the oven wall where the element plugs into the back of the oven cavity. Once the screws are removed from the top and back brackets you can gently pull the element from the back of the appliance.Once the element is out of the back wall you can see the wires that push onto the terminals on the element. It is a good idea to get a clothes pin to hold the wires once they are removed from the old element so they do not fall back into the holes. Once the old element is removed you can push the wires back onto the new element and reinstall the bracket screws that hold the element in place. Hope this helps!

Is the top heating element supposed to be glowing reddish orange as the bottom heating element does ? Currently the top element gets warm but is not reddish orange in color.
For model number JBS60RF1SS
Hello George, thank you for your question. The upper element will only glow bright red when the oven is on the Broil setting. If you're using the bake function the upper element will come on and off to maintain a constant and even heat inside the oven. I hope this helps!

What should the oven element ohm reading be? Mine is currently reading 15 ohms.. takes a long time to heat up
For model number JB400DP4BB
Hi Greg,
Thank you for your inquiry. There should be continuity, with readings ranging from 19 to 115 ohms, however readings will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and according to unit size and the wattage, be sure to check your manual for the manufacturer's specifications. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
