The ice stripper goes on the front of the ice maker and directs the ice cubes from the maker to the bin. Due to the frigid temperatures, the plastic breaks down and cracks from time to time. This may cause the ice cubes to get stuck in the ice maker and not dispense properly. You will need to open the freezer door, pull out the ice container by lifting and pulling out. Unplug the ice maker by releasing the locking tabs. Use your 1/4-inch nut driver to remove the screws holding the ice maker in place. Take the ice maker out of the freezer for easy access. The ice stripper can be removed by simply unlatching from the pin holding it in place. The new ice stripper should just click into place so the tab goes into the control head with ease.

Hello Ed, thank you for writing. You may want to consider replacing either the Icemaker Switch part PS297462 or the Ice Maker itself part PS1993870 for your model. We hope this helps.

Is 5304469378 compatible with my Frigidaire? Thanks, Lisa
For model number LFSS2312TP0
Hello Lisa, Thank you for the question. The Ice Stripper for this model is only sold as part of the Ice Maker, PartSelect Number PS12364147. The Stripper is not sold on its own. We hope this helps!
The ice maker works for a while and the cubes jamb in the stripper and bows it out of the notch in the motor assembly. If the stripper stays in place it works all right. Had trouble with two different ice makers.
For model number Frigidaire LHFT2131QF0
Hi John,
Thank you for your question. If the ice cubes being produced are smaller, then they will jamb the stripper arm. If the ice cubes are a smaller then normal, this is likely a result of a flow problem or a water pressure issue. Check the fill tube that supplies water to the ice maker. It may be clogged or frozen. If it is frozen, you will need to defrost the refrigerator. If you have hard water deposits, this can cause a clog in the water fill line and you will need to clean it out. Also, check the water pressure and the water inlet valve. If the water inlet valve is not working correctly, it may need to be replaced.
We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

Not exactly right
The part looks the same but there is a tab on the back that isn't on the original part and won't allow for installation. After removing it, the part was installed but turns out to be just short enough not to be able to fit into the motor section securely and keeps the tines from rotating properly. I'll keep playing with it until I get it in there...just not today.
