The ceramic glass cooktop arrived in good shape. Hired a professional to install on our Jenn Air gas cooktop because I read that it’s real easy to break the corroded screws holding the burners down, which means even more expense. When all was said and done total cost was $640. I remember buying cars for less! Just saying ...the Jenn Air parts are very expensive, so be careful you never crack the glass . Three stars ...it came, it fit, but quite costly!

How do you remove the glass top to gain access to the pan for check ignitor module and wiring. One burner does not spark
For model number JGD8430ADB
Hi Clyde,
Thank you for your question. First and foremost you will need to cut the power to your appliance. You will have to get underneath of your cooktop to unscrew the brackets that are holding your cooktop to the counter. You will have to unscrew them and then bend them back to get them out of the way. Be sure to check all sides of your cooktop for brackets. You will have to push up from the bottom of the appliance to push it up out of the cooktop. Have two long pieces of wood at the ready so that you can support the cooktop when you push it out of the counter. If you cannot lift the cooktop out, take a putty knife and carefully go around your cook top to release the foam tap holding the cooktop to the counter. Then you will remove your knobs. Then remove all of the screws one the sides of the appliance that are holding the glass to the chassis. There is sometimes a tape between the glass and the chassis, use your putty knife to help remove your glass from the chassis. Use some new foam tape and apply it to the top of your new glass. When placing the tape on the underside perimeter of the glass, make sure not to overlap them at the corners. You will then be able to follow these steps backwards to reinstall the appliance. Good luck with your repair.
