Any suggestions on recovering igniter wire fallen back into the unit?No access door underneath and do not see how to pull out entire burner.

Hello and thank you for writing. To open it up, after unplugging the cooktop, remove the metal tape connecting the external vent shaft to the blower. Then lift the entire cooktop out up out of the countertop so you can access the screws on the sides of the cooktop. Removed the 2 screws in the vent area on top (1 black screw on each side). And that releases the cooktop glass from the metal box that holds the burners. That should give you access to the wires. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

Hi Chuck, Thank you for your question. Here is some information on installing wire harness with igniter switches that may help with your repair. Before installing any part onto your stove, you will need to unplug it from the electrical outlet and turn off the gas. First, remove the burner grates, heads and caps from the top of the stove. Then unthread the screws securing the burners and then remove them. Then remove the screws securing the main top panel to the surface burner igniters below it. Then remove the control knobs. Next, open the oven door and locate the screws at the bottom of the control panel. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws securing the front panel and remove it. Then use a screwdriver to remove the 2 black screws securing the main top panel. Then slightly push down on all the burners and slide the main top forward to lift it off the range. Next, remove the rear access panel by removing the screws securing it to the back of the oven. Then trace the black wire from the igniter switches to the back terminal and disconnect it. Using the flat head screwdriver, remove the red wire from the spark module terminal. Once you have done this, you may remove all the switches from the gas valve shafts. Then thread the black and red wires connected from the new switches under the manifold and place the igniter switches on the burner shafts. Push them in to lock them on the valves. Then connect the red wire to the spark module terminal and thread the black wire through the opening in the back panel and connect it to the terminal. Reinstall the rear access panel and place the main top back on and slide it back to lock it in place. Secure it with the screws. Then reinstall the manifold panel making sure to slide the 2 tabs into the slots of the main top and secure it with the screws. Close the oven door and reinstall the knobs. Then match the holes and secure the burner igniters with the screws. Next, install the burners and secure them with the screws. Place the burner caps and grates back on the stove. Plug the stove back in and turn on the gas. Your oven should now work for you. We hope this helps!

The burner knob was cracked.
I simply remove the broken knob just like I do when cleaning. To place the new knob, I matched the flat part of knob opening with the flat part of the shaft, returning to off position.
