Oven temp doesn't stay constant. Set it at one temp and it may spike 50 degrees above - or down. Inside oven upper right and attached above light is a 1/8" or so wide metal rod that extends forward almost to the door (not the broiler element). It is badly deteriorated. I don't see it in either of your exploded diagrams. Is this the thermometer and could it be the problem cause? Otherwise could it be the oven infinite (temperature) switch? Thanks!
