Trying to follow the steps posted by richard from n caldwell, nj: I cannot find the "small nut" that he describes. I do have the replacement unit.

Hi John,
Thank you for contacting us. Here are some instructions, that should help you with your repair. Before beginning this repair, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Once the refrigerator has been unplugged, remove the ice bucket from the ice maker housing. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the ice makers front cover and remove it. Using a ¼ inch socket or nut driver, unthread the screws securing the wire harness cover and remove it. Then, unplug the wire connectors. Next, pull the ice maker forward and remove it. Then remove the ice maker housing. Remove the shelving surrounding the housing first. Then, unthread the 3 mounting screws securing the housing and then pull it out. With the housing removed, cut the zip-tie wire retainers and remove the old ice maker. Install the new ice maker by aligning the wires in the channel and use zip-ties to secure them. Reinstall the housing by inserting the ice maker through the rear of the housing. Next, insert the wires through the hole at the top of the housing and then secure the housing with the mounting screws. Place the shelves back inside the refrigerator. Align the ice maker on the mounting studs and push it back until it locks into place. Reconnect the wire connectors and then reinstall the wire harness cover and the the front cover. Insert the ice bucket back into the housing. Plug the refrigerator back in and it should now work for you. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.

My ice maker has stopped dropping ice into the tray. I can feel ice cubes already made up above the tray but it isn't dumping them. I think this started when I had to unplug the refrigerator and it hasn't worked since plugging it back in. Is this part a possible fix?

The sensor arm does not move and cut off the ice maker when the tray is full. Am having to turn off the ice maker at the control. Does this fix require a replacement of the ice maker PS16221322?

I can not remove the wire plug to the ice maker assembly part #243297613. The other questions and answers appear to be connected differently, my model plugs in to a connector located in the front top. I was able disconnect the other 2 plugs successfully just to gain better vision and access. What am I overlooking?

Hello Jim, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the water inlet valve, part number PS7321353, and making sure that it supplies water with the 20 psi pressure. If this does not help, the issue is probably related to the ice maker assembly, part number PS16221322. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Ice is in the tray but won't dump.
1. I did a forced ice dump and it rotated almost 90 degrees and kept trying to dump over and over. Ice was not dislodged.
2. I ran a diagnostic test on the icemaker and the sensor said the temperature was 4 degrees.
For model number FGHD2368TF6
Hello Jeff, thank you for writing. If your ice maker is not dropping ice, it could be that there's a blockage in the ice tray, or an ice cube is jammed between the bin and the lever. Ice can partially melt and re-freeze together to form big clumps of ice, or pieces too small to rake are all that’s left in the bottom of the bin. This problem most often happens to people who use ice very rarely or opens and closes the freezer door frequently. We hope this helps.

Hello Sam, thank you for your question. If you mean the Auger, the part that looks like a corkscrew, it is sold with the Ice Container Assembly PS10060209. We are pleased to have been able to help.
Hi, I replaced the ice maker with 243297609 and have followed instructions for assembly. This unit makes ice for about 2 weeks and then stops making ice. I have gone in twice now and unplugged the unit and plugged back in. It makes ice again for about two weeks and stops? Do I buy 243297613 to solve this problem or is something else going on? Thank you, Michael

Ice maker was not working
Simple three steps... 1) There's an front section to the ice-maker to take off. One Phillips screw is on the side, one screw is underneath near the inside of the refrigerator wall. Just unscrew and store. 2) There's a small plastic unit just inside the ice maker to take out. It's held in by a small nut that requires about a 4" extension to reach. (You may be able to unscrew the nut with small needle-nose pliers). Just unscrew and take out the unit - the unit functions just to keep the ice maker wiring in place. 3) The wiring looks a mess, but there's just one wiring connector to the ice maker assembly. Unsnap it. The ice maker is not screwed in, it just slides in -- reach in and pull the assembly straight out; when it stops, lower it a bit and it will come free. Reverse the instructions to install the new unit.

There is no power, due to the COVID-19 pandemic there no Tech support available,
My repair plan is to continue buying parts for it until is starts working. I notices a large rusty stain on the back of the refrigerator, so I replaced the Ice Maker. Then, I replaced the Evaporator Motor. Yet nothing will come on. I called Conn's Home Plus where I bought the Frigidaire Refigerator back in February 2014. The Tech said that It needs a Board-main Power (computer part). So I it ordered from PartSelect. It is due here by July 20, 2020. The Parts and Tech cost is now over Five Hundred ($500) dollars. Ice maker not making ice.
Unscrew a few screws and remove some plastic covers to access the ice cube tray. Undue two wire connections and remove the tray. Put in the new unit in reverse order. I heard it may take awhile for the new ice maker to start doing anything. Mine didn't do anything for 6 hours, then made it's first batch. Making ice fine now ever since.

Ice maker not making ice
Located problem part of ice maker on web site. Picked the part that had the highest percentage of being the the part that was broken (58% I think). Removed the part, waited for the new part, then put it all back together. Simple. It works great. Thanks for having such an easy web site to diagnose the problem.

Easy Install with hopes it continues to work
The part was easy to install, did note the same issues others had with the missing cable channel and no way to secure cable in place. Worked well for the first few days, produced a full container which we disposed (as recommended), then stopped working. After three weeks of not producing ice, suddenly started to work again. Will see how long it lasts this time.

Great value
Great value for what repairman quoted me. Only thing was this part didn't have the same wiring harness trench on the correct side to zip the it on but I used old frame and put in new icemaker into it. Worked great. I would have given 5 stars except for harness trench on wrong side.

worked fine
part was well packaged .as the fridge was already apart it was only a 15min install.
only minor problem the wire harness on the original was clipped and tied alone the top of the maker. with the replacement there was no way to do that. but it did fit just fine if you run the harness on the underside of the unit , there was a nice groove on the right side keeps it nice and out of the way
